DANCE OF FIRE

I wrote the content on this blog with sincere and holy intentions with the knowledge that I had at the time... We live, learn and amend...as errors are exposed and more truths are revealed...

Only GOD is perfect. It's vital that you seek the Lord to expose any errors that you've embraced. Please ask Him to expose any areas of darkness to you and for what is necessary to do to dispossess what's NOT of truth.

###

POETRY: DANCE OF FIRE

Flames of fire dance joyfully as dreams of fervor conjure up images of red hot passion for the gusto of life.

Sizzle, spark, explode -

Fireballs light up the sky. Wow! a thunder flash with a clap -

The flames are vivid with the awesome glow of orange colors blended with yellow highlights that accent the blaze.

This display is the bomb torched with a rocket plan. Such rapture has lit our fire. We are dynamite on this journey.

Come on fire, fall on us. Pour your liquid potency. Ignite our souls that we may be engulfed with magnified intensity.

Blow up our hearts. Dance with us....

WE DID THE MATH, AND RECALCULATED

Greetings -

Scriptures are from the King James Bible.

"Cooked" Books:

Present minus GOD = dry bones
Ezekiel 37:3, ...can these bones live?  And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest.

Wages + sin = death
Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death,...

Sinful + lifestyle = damnation
Romans 13:2, Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

Child of hell = lake of fire
Matthew 23:15, ...child of hell...
Revelation 21:8, But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:...

WE DID THE MATH, AND RECALCULATED.

Recalculated books:

Confessed sins + obedience to GOD = salvation
The Acts 16:30, 31, ...Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved,...

Holy loyalty + steadfastness = eternal life
Romans 6:23, ...the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

No more death + no more sorrow + no more pain = former things are passed away
Revelation 21:4, And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Tree of life + through the gates = eternally blessed
Revelation 22:14, Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Prayer:

Father, thank You that because of Your love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness, we Your children did the math and recalculated.  Our recalculations led us to Your loving and peace filled arms where we are commanded to love You steadfastly as our FIRST LOVE.  Please help us, glorious Father, to be holy as You are holy.

Teach us how to love others because Your Bible clearly says that without love, we are nothing.  And help us to be mindful that we are to forgive for we certainly need forgiveness from You, as well as from others.  Also, Your will is that we share Your truths.  Please teach us how to do it with love, wisdom, and holy boldness with confidence in Your power to increase upon what we share.

Let us aim to endure faithfully with You, Lord, until the end when we shall hear You say, "Well done, My good and faithful servants.  Enter into the joy of your Lord."

Please lead others, Father, to do the math and to recalculate so that they can have life and have it more abundantly.  And lead them, please, to not be moved away from the hope of the gospel.

Thank You, Lord - Amen

Below is a topic that I originally posted on December 31, 2010.  Here are portions from that subject post with some modifications to the original:

GOD IS IN EVERY EQUATION

Be encouraged that GOD is in every aspect of what happens on this great planet earth that He created.  Nobody can trump GOD.  He is untrumpable.  Almighty GOD works to accomplish His plans and He gets things done in most high ways.

The “know” factor with GOD is a place that is unequaled in power.  When we know to the core of our souls that GOD is far above everything, nothing can uproot our solid stance in our Father, the Most High.  The GOD we serve is totally about holy business, and He spends no time in sin.  Certainly we sin, and need to humble ourselves before our Lord in sincere repentance when we do.  Without GOD, we are mere mortals – with Him – we are more than conquerors.  He eternally works to get holy missions accomplished.  He uses willing servants to work with Him for the fruition of His Master plans.

For every occurrence, there is evidence of the works of GOD because His word says in Isaiah 45:7 that He makes peace, and creates evil.

Amos 3:6, 7
…shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it?

Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

When we continually love, obey, and trust GOD, He invests more and more into us because He trusts us increasingly based on our adherence to His perfect will.  Our faith grows exceedingly, and our charity toward each other abounds.  GOD is eternally faithful to His covenant relationship with His holy people.  In such, His covenant is irrevocable.  We are heirs with GOD and joint heirs with JESUS, the Christ.  There is absolute spiritual safety in the everlasting arms of our GOD.

We possess the greatest words, the greatest power, and the greatest truth - for it abides in us.  GOD’s words live, work, and abide forever and shall never pass away – they are forever settled in heaven.  The words of the devil pale in comparison to the Words that our GOD speaks.  The Words of GOD are Spirit and they are life!

We are not orphans, people. We have a Divine Father who is our Shepherd.  His Word states that His sheep know His voice and a stranger they will not follow.

We are not spiritual hobos bowing to the dictates of the heathen persuasion.  We don’t belong to Baal so we should continually conduct ourselves as the victorious servants of GOD that we are.  We are to work the Word of GOD – the Holy Bible.  The way to work the Word is to work with GOD as He works to fulfill His agenda.  Say the Word, do the Word, and inhale and exhale the awesome Word of GOD.  Thank our Lord that He equips us to represent as His vessels of honor.

Why does Satan oppose us?  That's his job.  He does what he has been destined to do.  He is our enemy and his wicked deeds align with that truth.  Those that disobey GOD and oppose us are appointed to do such (1 Peter 2:8).  As for GOD’s people, His Word states in 1 Thessalonians 3:3, “That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.”  And remember that the Lord informs us to think it not strange when Satan works against us.  GOD steadfastly works effectively to prove that though evil forces fight against vessels of honor, the vessels of dishonor shall NOT prevail!  Matthew 16:18, “…and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

Does anyone remember the words, “The revolution will not be televised?”  The Lord’s revolution will not be televised in the natural manner of things.  It will be broadcast on levels that will astound the doubters, and thrill GOD’s people.  The forthcoming revolution against the devil shall result in evil hearts melting in the presence of our awesome GOD.  Knees will tremble upon the move of Almighty GOD in venues and areas that will witness and receive His messages with signs following!  The power and presence of GOD will resound with His Majesty.  In deeds, His holiness will explode in ways that will blaze with His brilliance and sovereignty!  Truly, He will prove that He is the Majesty on High!  Souls will be saved.  People will be sanctified, delivered and made whole in GOD.  Some will persist in their rebellion against GOD.  Woe to them…

The holy revolution approaches…

Psalm 90:12
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

Proverbs 30:5, 6
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Matthew 13:38
The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

GOD says in Exodus 8:23:
And I will put a division between my people and thy people:…

Matthew 13:43
Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father….

James 1:22
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

The math is done.  What's our grade?  GOD knows...

Again, Psalm 90:12
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts...

REGULARLY, I GIVE THE DEVIL A PEACE OF MY MIND

Butterfly

Copyright 2011

Greetings -
Scriptures are from the King James Bible.

Many have heard someone say "I gave him/her a piece of my mind."

Well, here the word piece is replaced with the word peace.  I purpose, with steadfast deliberation, to regularly give Satan a peace of my mind.

The Holy Scriptures tell us that we are to have the mind of Christ - 1 Corinthians 2:16.  The Word also tells us these things about peace:

Romans 8:6
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Isaiah 26:3
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Colossians 3:15
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Romans 5:1
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Philippians 4:7
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you, Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

We are charged in James 4:7, "Submit yourselves therefore to God.  Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

If the devil has our minds, we gave them to him. Too many Christians cave to Satan and his evil practices.  I was one of those Christians until our Lord told me that it was time for me to grow up and to steadfastly fight to keep my stand against Satan.  Satan is NOT going to willingly give us any ground.  Matthew 11:12, "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force."  God is "the God of forces" - Daniel 11:38.  We are to be spiritually violent - NOT physically violent.  Our survival depends on us using spiritual violence against the powers of darkness.  If we elect to be spiritual wimps, Satan will triumph over us.

With the power of Almighty GOD invested in me, I decree that that ain't happening to this blood bought child of the Most High!  I'm not begging Satan for nothing (bad grammar used on purpose).  I'm handling what's mine, as given by our great and awesome Lord.  That is my appointment and, with the help of GOD, I purpose to keep it!

on Tuesday August 23, 2011

When I viewed the above photo
before posting it today,
our Lord quickened to me
that He had me donned
in an "eagle" tee shirt
on the day of the earthquake -
BEFORE the earthquake!
And, in this photo,
around my neck, on the necklace,
He had me donned with the head
of a lion in roar mode!

Today our Lord gave me these scriptures,
Exodus 19:4
Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians,
and how I bare you on eagles' wings,
and brought you unto myself.

Isaiah 42:13
The Lord shall go forth as a mighty man,
he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war:
he shall cry, yea, roar;
he shall prevail against his enemies.

The other day I heard a pastor say about his spirituality, "I'm not a gambler; I'm an investor."  Amen to that.  We need to daily invest in the kingdom of GOD to reap eternal dividends.  In these days of increased evil, Christians are in peril if in states of rebellion against GOD, and if daily time isn't spent in the presence of our Lord through Word study, prayer, and thanksgiving.  It is more and more dangerous out here, people.  2 Timothy 3:13, "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived."  We have a responsibility to wax stronger and stronger in our Lord.  The Bible tells us that we are to possess the kingdom - Daniel 7:22.

Awhile ago, our Lord gave me a revelation that self-pity is sin. It is used by Satan to have us to focus on ourselves.  When we focus on ourselves, we aren't focusing on GOD.  Our Lord's Word tells us that if we keep our minds stayed on Him, we will have perfect peace.

Yesterday, when the 5.8 earthquake hit here in D.C., I was about  to enter my apartment unit door.  The door shook violently for more than a few moments.  At the time, I didn't know what had caused the shaking.  What did I do?  My spirit was completely at peace, and quickened in a posture of, "Have no fear, JESUS is here."  I put the key in the shaking door and came into my unit.  I do recall silently thinking something like, "Lord, whatever this is, it's not bigger than You."  A few minutes later, on the Internet, I read that we had had an earthquake.

Satan's mission is to frustrate Christians, to wear us down, to devour us, to deceive us and, ultimately, to destroy us.  Well, I go on record to state that our missions should be to frustrate Satan, and to resist him firm unto the end through the power of Almighty GOD.  How do we frustrate Satan?  When he attacks with his persecutions, such as mind games, hindrances, false accusations, and lies - we retaliate against his wickedness when we habitually choose to do the following: live holy, quote to him the Word of GOD, remind him that GOD ALWAYS WINS, praise GOD, sing in worship to GOD, do victory dances, witness to unbelievers, and think, say and do other actions that glorify GOD.  Satan hates when we celebrate GOD, and share of His love, mercy and forgiveness.  GOOD!  I heard one pastor say, "Torment the tormenter."  When we glorify GOD, Satan is tormented.

Satan is a low "life."  We are commanded by GOD to be of the high life.  Colossians 3:1,2, "If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of GOD.  Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth."  Our Lord is displeased when we elect the low over the high.  GOD is never low.  He is forever high.  Certainly, we falter but more and more, we should be found spiritually in high places.

Let's steadfastly purpose to give the devil a peace of our minds in Christ JESUS!

2 Peter 1:2
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord.

APPOINTED TO EXERCISE WITH GOD AS OUR PERSONAL TRAINER

Photographed by Sandra
Copyright 2011
Greetings -

Scriptures are from the King James Bible.

Our Lord told me that someone is waiting for this message.  For sure, I need it...

Some of GOD'S people are asking, "When, Lord, will You answer what I have so long prayed for?  When will You manifest the deliverance from these storms...?"

One answer is Exodus 9:5, "And the Lord appointed a set time,..."

Our Lord reminded me about the widow in Luke 18 who persevered.

Luke 18:1-5

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:

And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.

And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

How long did Abraham and Sarah wait for GOD'S promise of Isaac?  When impatience manifested, they got an Ishmael...

How long did Joseph wait for deliverance after he had his dream at the age of seventeen - Genesis 37:2, 5?  How long was Joseph, an innocent man, in prison?  We don't precisely know but what the Holy Bible does precisely tell us about the situation is in Genesis 39:21, "But the Lord was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour..."

Our Lord had this to say in the book of Psalms about Joseph:

Psalm 105:19, "Until the time that his word came: the word of the Lord tried him."

How long did the Israelites wait for deliverance from Egypt?

And what about this verse from Revelation 6:10 - "And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?"

Without exercise, muscles atrophy.  That goes for our physical muscles AND for our SPIRITUAL muscles.  Resistance training builds muscles.  If no resistance happens, atrophy occurs.  If we allow atrophy, we give place to the devil.  Resistance training is highly beneficial for us to thrive in GOD.

We are appointed to afflictions for our profit that we may be partakers of GOD'S holiness.  1 Thessalonians 3:3, "That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto."

Those who aren't GOD'S children have appointments, as well.  1 Peter 2:8, 9 "And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed."  But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light."

Habakkuk 3:17, 18, "Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:  Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation."

GOD reigns and rules over allIsaiah 45:7, "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace. and create evil; I the Lord do all these things."

2 Chronicles 20:6
And said, O Lord God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven?  and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?

Daniel 4:35
And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?

Ephesians 6:13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

When we disobey our Lord, there are consequences for our disobedience.  Relative to Solomon, the Holy Bible says in 1 Kings 11:14, 23, "And the Lord stirred up an adversary unto Solomon,...  And God stirred him up another adversary,..."

And of course, we have adversaries when we walk holy with our Lord.  1 Peter 3:14, "But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled."

The Word of GOD commands us to give thanks in every thing.  1 Thessalonians 5:18, "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Will we falter?  Yes.  Will we sometimes "choke"?  Yes.  But thanks be unto GOD that the more we draw nigh to Him, the stronger we will get in Him.  When we exercise, we don't atrophy.  As we diligently abide in our Lord, we become such that we falter and choke less and less.  We build more and more muscle mass so that we can live as is stated in Hebrews 12:27, 28 which states, "And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.  Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved,..."

Here is more to remind us of the ways of GOD:

Exodus 3:12
And he said, Certainly I will be with thee;...

Exodus 7:4
But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments.

Exodus 7:12
For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.

GOD said this to Pharaoh in Exodus 9:16,
"And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to show in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth."

Exodus 10:1
And the Lord said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart,...

1 Kings 12:15
Wherefore the king hearkened not unto the people; for the cause was from the Lord,...

GOD said this in Daniel 5:23, through Daniel, to Belshazzar:

"But thou hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, or hear, or know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, hast thou not gloried:"

Sandra's comment:

When we encounter hardhearted and rude people, GOD allows them to be that way for His purposes.  HE always has a MASTER PLAN, and HE ALWAYS WINS - so do we when we abide in HIM.  Also, remember that hardhearted people are appointed to such...  Remember GOD hardened Pharaoh's heart "for to shew in thee my power: and that my name may be declared..."  Actually, when we have pure hearts, we need to be thankful for such hardhearted conduct when it is directed at us because it is affirmation that we have frustrated the devil.  When we make the devil angry, it is more triumph for the kingdom of GOD.

Of course, there are times when our Lord will instruct us to correct those who behave disrespectfully towards us but we are mandated to do it in the spirit of love.  Even when we must deal sharply and sternly with people, we are mandated to do so in love.

When we Christians are justifiably corrected by others, we are mandated to receive such admonishment in the spirit of love.  Our Lord instructs us to love and to help one another in various ways.  GOD has us as His body because we need to strengthen, encourage, comfort, and correct one another for the advancement of our Lord's kingdom.

Again, Isaiah 45:7
I form the light, and create darkness; I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.

1 Samuel 19:9
And the evil spirit from the Lord was upon Saul,...

2 Chronicles 18:20-22
Then there came out a spirit, and stood before the Lord, and said, I will entice him.  And the Lord said unto him, Wherewith?

And he said, I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.  And the Lord said, Thou shalt entice him, and thou shalt also prevail: go out, and do even so.

Now therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets,...

Daniel 7:27
And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

WHAT CHANNEL?

Greetings -

Scriptures are from the King James Bible.

Some of us are old enough to remember when, on TV in the USA, there were only three networks, ABC, NBC and CBS.  And when all programming on said stations was rated G.  Also, there was a time when PG material didn't air until 10 p.m.  My, how things have changed...

Whose channel do I primarily watch now?  My favorite channel is GOD.  One definition for channel is "the passage of information," - Source: The New Oxford American Dictionary.  Also, water channels.  Our GOD'S Word says that He is a "fountain of living waters" - Jeremiah 2:13.  John 7:38 says that out of our bellies "shall flow rivers of living water."

GOD'S channel is rated G.  How great that G-O-D is rated G.  Always right, just, pure, and good.  Ah! How refreshing.  Thank You, Lord.

How do we continue on the holy frequencies?  Stay tuned to the PREMIUM channel.  The GOD broadcasts have 100% accuracy rates and when storms come, the channel airs without screen fuzziness.  It has perfect pitch, excellent hosts, and star power galore.  The GOD programming is consistently of the highest quality with reward offers for good behavior.  It does wholesome benefit concerts.  The dance moves on this channel flow in liquid love motions.  GOD'S channel doesn't pitch products.  It promotes HIM on resounding levels.  Yes, 3D is in the mix.  On this channel, 3D means 3 dimensions, FATHER, SON, AND HOLY GHOST.  The trio is the highest in ratings.  In truth, it is off the charts.  Nobody can cancel GOD'S programming - plus, HE has no blackouts.  And, get this, subscribers and potential subscibers! - there is no hiatus for this everlasting POWER house.  For sure, this isn't plain TV or basic cable.  This is the uttermost connection with no gimmicks or shady deals.  Choose the BEST, people.  Enjoy the views!

The schedule today on the GOD channel has these seven great features:

Hebrews 7:25
Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Mark 6:20
For Herod feared John , knowing that he was a just man and an holy, and observed him; and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly.

Proverbs 28:13
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

1 John 5:9
If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.

Matthew 18:20
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

1 Kings 18:27
And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked.

1 John 2:14
...because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

I REFUSE TO QUIT SMOKING

Greetings -

Note: There is a prayer near the end of this posting.

I confess that I'm a smoker.  How long have I been addicted?  Well, of late, the habit has progressed.  I don't want a cessation patch.  I want to smoke.  I'm not satisfied with second hand smoke.  I want my own fire.  Light me up, Scotty.

What's my brand?  Kingdom Flames, packaged in red, white, and black with a flaming arrow dead center.  And these "babies" have the "good housekeeping" seal of approval with no adverse side effects.  Who is the manufacturer?  GOD - WHO has exclusive rights to this fire hot brand.

The smokes come twenty in a pack, signed. sealed, and delivered by our mountain smoking GOD.  Exodus 20:18, "And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking:..."

Please join me on my smoke journey; shown below are twenty in a pack.

1. Mark 1:45
But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter,...

2. Jeremiah 5:14
Wherefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire,...

3. Jeremiah 20:9
...But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones,...

4. Exodus 19:18
And mount Sinai was altogether on a smoke, because the Lord descended upon it in fire: and the smoke thereof ascended as the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mount quaked greatly.

5. John 5:35
He was a burning and a shining light:...

6. Exodus 3:2
And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.

7. Daniel 3:25
He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the  Son of God.

8. Isaiah 4:5

9. 1 Kings 18:38
Then the fire of the Lord fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.

10. 2 Kings 1:10

Prayer for those who smoke cigarettes and anything else that's not healthy:

Devoted Father GOD, You are strong and mighty, beyond all that we think, say or know.  Your Word in Psalm 18:2 - KJV says, "The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower."

Lord, You delivered me from smoking years ago.  I smoked almost a pack a day.  Thank You, Lord, that Your blessed fire lit me up and Your love, power and strength delivered me.  Please deliver others who are gripped by smoking and other addictions.  Help them to steadfastly invest in You to gain knowledge and power to conquer.  You won't do it all, Lord, but certainly You work with us to change that which displeases You.  Teach us how, in all of our ways, to steadfastly bring You joy, pleasure and delight.

Thank You, Lord - Amen.

Psalm 107:20 - KJV
He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them...

CHARACTER CHOICES - CHRISTIANS, FOR REAL?

Greetings -

Scriptures from the King James Bible.

Note: I had doubts about posting this...  Imagine my pleasant surprise after posting this today, Wednesday August 3, 2011, at 12:09 p.m. EST, and then going to Facebook to notice an article posted by Charisma magazine's contributing editor, J. Lee Grady.  His article is dated today, as well, with a time of 12:30 p.m.  Charisma is also EST.  The title of the article is “Whatever Happened to Faithfulness?"  In the content of the article, it is stated, “We think we can offset our lack of solid character with a big dose of Holy Ghost hoopla.  But when faithfulness is missing, everybody can see our noisy show is a sham.”  Here is the link: http://www.charismamag.com/index.php/fire-in-my-bones/31704-whatever-happened-to-faithfulness#comments

I was struck how, today, our Lord gave us both content relative to character.

Now for my post topic:

This morning I heard a pastor say about folks who profess to be Christians, "Don't judge them by their labels - judge them by their character."  Don't focus as much on what people say.  Keenly observe what they do.  I cannot tell you how many times I have been lied to by so-called Christians.  Proverbs 6:16, 17, "These six things doth the Lord hate;...a lying tongue,..."

Are we Christians, for real?  If we answer yes, what is the evidence?  Do our fruits prove that we are Christians?  Do people regularly observe our righteousness?

1 Corinthians 6:2
Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

Matthew 7:16
Ye shall know them by their fruits...

John 7:24
...but judge ye righteous judgment.

John 8:42
..If God were your Father, ye would love me:...

1 John 3:10
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whoso doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

1 Corinthians 10:20, 21
...and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

We cannot afford to "play" Christian.  That is of the devil.  Nor can we afford to align ourselves with those who are in league with Satan.  2 Corinthians 11:14, 15, "And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.  Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."

This post isn't focused on folks who have major emotional damage but I will mention here that there are some Christians that our Lord has led to be in frequent engagement with those who are consistent in their ungodliness and destructive conduct.  Some people who are deeply wounded emotionally need major time investments to get delivered from the demonic influences that grip them.  One Christian, Rebecca Brown, wrote a book that described how our Lord led her to allow a witch to live with her as she witnessed to the witch about our Lord, His love and His gospel.   Eventually, the witch became a full gospel Christian.  If our Lord assigns us to such engagements, we need to cleave closely to Him to keenly hear and heed His instructions...  Such engagements cannot be taken lightly - to do so can result in being devoured by the devil....

Aside from what has been stated in the above paragraph about engagements...,we are to love and to forgive but we cannot habitually engage socially with those who live ungodly lifestyles, and I include those with Christian labels in the lot.  As the pastor said this a.m., "Don't judge them by their labels - judge them by their character."

The other day, our Lord gave me this scripture from 2 Chronicles 33:9:

So Manasseh made Judah to err, and to do worse than the heathen,...

When I read that, I was like, huh?  Judah doing worse than the heathen?  That was an eye-opener for me.  The Lord stressed to me to keep mindful that some who are called Christians can be more damaging than heathen.  He further stressed to "beware..."  After those warnings from our Lord, He allowed some experiences to come my way to prove the urgency of that message from HIM.

We are not to lay our hearts bare for others to trample on our emotions.  We are charged in Proverbs 4:23, "Keep thy heart with all diligence;..."  And Matthew 7:6 says, "Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you."

If we allow relationship engagements that are disapproved by our Lord, that can lead to holy joy deprivation.  Our Lord's ideal is John 16:22, "...your joy no man taketh from you."  We need to cleave to our Lord, and not give away our holy joy.

Thankfully, some people are receptive and will heed advice when corrected.  They will choose to improve and in such cases, relationships can become healthy and worthwhile.  We need to be inclined to receive sound advice and make necessary adjustments.
But the reality is that some people aren't so inclined and we need to seek our Lord as to when to move on.  As the lyrics from the Kenny Rogers song say, "Know when to hold 'em.  Know when to fold 'em.  Know when to walk away..."

Romans 16:17
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

The Lord had me to post this today to spare some from being unnecessarily harmed by folks who are in league with Satan.  We shouldn't be gullible and believe that loving and forgiving people means to regularly subject ourselves to their dishonorable characters.  This morning the subject pastor said something like "When they have proven to be dishonest, conniving, and manipulative - back up -facing and watching them."  The pastor further mentioned in the Bible where it says to feed your enemies.  He stated that that doesn't mean that he has to invite his proven enemies to eat in his home at his table.  He expressed that he can feed them from afar such as sending them food....

I sensed an urgency to share this today, people, because too many true Christians are allowing themselves to be used and abused in the name of love.  We must seek our Lord for the wisdom as to how to deal with people - family and otherwise.  Love certainly doesn't mean to be a fool, doormat, or toy for the sport of others.  We should pray, in earnest, for people to forsake their dark lives to come to our Lord.  But for Holy Spirit led reasons, the reality is that some people can only be prayed for from "a distance" with minimal, if any, social interaction.  The workplace and family dynamic is, for the most part, something else.  Whatever it is, it's not bigger than GOD and His ability to provide answers.

Cherish true honorable relationships.  Show appreciation to others who share rich character attributes.  Invest in them.  They prove worth it.  The Holy Bible teaches us to give and to receive.  Be wary of relationships where people aren't inclined to share.  They are regularly apt to receive but rarely inclined to give.  Some people may not have material things to give but certainly they can give of their talents, and time.

Also, be wary of folks who regularly demonstrate lack of integrity and credibility.  They give their words but consistently fail to keep their words.  We don't have energy to waste on flaky relationships.  Yes, people do change, and improve.  Praise GOD for positive progression.  We're all works in progress and need to change in various areas.  That is another subject...  But trust must be proven over time...

Time is getting shorter, people.  Evil is waxing worse and worse.  We must burn ever more brightly for our Lord.  Our Lord expects us to be good stewards of our time and resources.  Energy wasted on unreasonable relationships isn't time well spent.  Our pursuits must be worthy of our Lord and His assignments for us.  We cannot afford to lollygag.  Many people are bound by sin and need to hear and observe the full gospel demonstrated by holy vessels of GOD who steadfastly have pure hearts and clean hands.

Seek our Lord for how to avoid wasting valuable energy on ungrateful unappreciative people whose regular aim is to use and to take loving kindnesses for weakness.  Last week I heard a pastor say that if he loans someone money and they cease to pay it back, it would be unwise for him to keep loaning that person money.  Should he love that person?  Yes.  Should he forgive that person? Yes.  Should he help that person?  Yes, if our Lord leads... Should he trust that person ? No.

When we steadfastly heed the Words from our Lord, He can reveal the spiritual dangers that others aim to present...

2 Timothy 4:18
And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory forever and ever.  Amen.

DEATH OF TOXIC RELATIONSHIPS

How many of us are in continuance mode with relationships that are dead weight associations?  I mean they add nothing to us but certainly subtract from our positive progressive journeys.  The subject relationships could be relative to friends, acquaintances, and dating associations.  I do not exclude from these descriptions some “Christian” connections which can also prove hazardous to godliness.

Our Lord does appoint us to minister to the dead and instructs us to be mindful that we were once dead ourselves.  It is, however, crucial to be in tune with our Father to discern when to move on as the Spirit leads.  My experience has been to linger too long where I should have cancelled some “subscriptions” to relationship “magazines.”  Fool that I was, I remained in the “pages” well after the expiration dates.  Hampered spirituality was the result when I continued engagements where I no longer had any business.

We can allow vice grips on our emotions that cause us to cling to toxic connections.  Why do we cling?  The reasons vary.  Fear readily comes to mind.  We can fear the absence of the entanglements.  Granted, the entanglements are toxic but we foolishly desire them, regardless.  Often, we are afraid to disengage.  We have become accustomed to the presence.  Inner battles rage.

We know better but are afraid to do better.  What will it mean?  What can replace them?  Reluctance is stronger than logic.

There is hope.  Undoubtedly, it can be difficult to trade in liabilities for assets.  One reality is that assets are not always immediate after cancellation of liabilities.  Hurt tends to be the immediate consequence.  Separation anxiety is a definite result.  Tough it out, though, because rainbows can be a certainty.

It is absolutely a surety that we can rise above the pain.  What is vital is a heart to work through it with awareness that it will hurt but conquer we shall.

Emotional warfare is an apt way to describe it.  We must purpose to do it and allow nothing and no one to impede our journeys to wholeness.  GOD can show us the paths of life.  His question is, “Do you want to press on to gain it?”

Recently, someone gave me declarations that, in essence, amounted to rejection of me.  Gratitude is felt for that rejection because I learned that inwardly I have come to a new place.  What he said was beneficial for me to know.  It may, to some people, seem odd for me to express gratitude for rejection.  The truth that he spoke resulted in some measures of freedom for me.  Something shifted within when I digested the content of his words.  That shift has been instrumental in turning some things right side up.  I am thankful.

Burial of dead relationships is essential to move forward.  We cannot embrace freedom if we cling to death.

In the interest of balance, I cannot conclude here without inclusion of another aspect on the matter of toxic dead relationships.  Evidence supports that there are instances that the dead can live again or live where there was no previous life.  Once toxic does not necessarily mean always toxic.  Remedies do exist to bring the dead to life.

Happily, toxic dead marriages have been revived, healed, and restored to blissful unity.  Family estrangements have gained healing.  Those are glowing reports.

My experiences have also proved that it is possible to have peace in the presence of storms.  Dissension has surrounded me where I had to reside, that is, relationships severed but I had to, for seasons, remain in the same physical places.  I learned to go and glow in spite of it.  That meant that heart disconnection happened before physical disconnection occurred. Immediate physical relief is not always attainable.  What can be attained, though, is a heart set to reject attempts to discourage joyous progression.  Peace can be resident in the midst of toxic dramas.  Determine to sing in the rain.  Escape before you leave.  Leave intact.  Victories are choices that begin in our hearts.

Wisely consider relationship choices.  Ponder and select what is reasonable, safe and responsible.  Chances are some relationships can be “saved” while others should be categorized as permanent deaths.  Let’s face it – all cannot be salvaged.  The better we discern and understand the differences, the more liberated we shall be as whole beings on this great planet earth.

BEAUTY IS HEART DEEP PLUS

Washington Monument

Greetings -

Scriptures are from the King James Bible.

Photos compliments of Sandra - Copyright 2011

Recently, I saw another age spot and became concerned.  Is that vanity?  Pray for me, please, people, on that.  Anyhow, before my concern grew roots, our Lord reminded me that I am beautiful.  Later He told me that age spots are SON spots.  That made me smile.  Oh the joy of the voice of the SON of the living GOD!  Our Lord's words encouraged me and He led me to share this because He revealed that some of His other children are concerned about their aging processes.

BEAUTY IS HEART DEEP

Greetings -

This post is primarily for more mature audiences; however, young bloods are welcome to partake.

Joshua 14:10-13
And now, behold, the Lord hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the Lord spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old.

As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.

Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the Lord spake in that day;...

And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb...for an inheritance.

Numbers 13:30
And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.

A few days ago, I grew concerned as I viewed, on me, new signs of physical aging.  Quickly, our Lord dissolved my doubts when I went on someone's blog and read these words, "You are beautiful just as you are."  That particular blog is one that I don't recall ever visiting.  That made it all the more special that our Lord sent me to that post.  Update: Karen commented under this post that it was her blog that I visited http://www.hopefaithlife.blogspot.com/.

About mid-week, the doubts crept in again.  Our Lord told me to search in His Scriptures for the word beautiful, and to write some of those subject citations.

Here are the ones that our Lord led me to write:

Psalm 48:2
Beautiful for situation, the joy...

Ecclesiastes 3:11
He hath made every thing beautiful in his time:...

Song of Solomon 6:4
Thou art beautiful, O my love,...comely as Jerusalem,...

Isaiah 4:2
In that day shall the branch of the Lord be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely...

Isaiah 52:7
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

The Acts 3:10
And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which happened unto him.

Later that day, I went to Lidj's blog and our Lord led me to one of her older posts.  Guess what it is titled? - "Beautiful."  Tears welled in my eyes as I marveled at how our Lord so dearly met me where I was.

A bit later, I went out and walked.  I had on earphones as I listened to a gospel selection.  Our Lord so moved upon me that, right there in public, I got demonstratively happy in the Holy Spirit.  Tears flowed down my cheeks in glorious gratitude to our Lord.  At one point, I was so filled that I stopped walking and lifted my arms in holy adoration.  I'm not ashamed to praise our Lord in public places. For those who are inclined, here is a link to a post that I did called,

"PUBLIC PRAISE"
http://lioneaglesoar.blogspot.com/2010/11/public-praise.html

As I continued to walk and cry in love to our Father, repeatedly I sang these words, "We're beautiful."  I was overcome in the Spirit in a wondrous way.  Glory to GOD'S amazing name!

American society, for the most part, does not promote love, respect and appreciation for those who are mature in age.  They label "old" as unappealing and unattractive.  That is NOT what GOD believes nor should we, HIS children.  Hey people, GOD'S Word says:

Psalm 74:12
For God is my King of old,...

Psalm 92:14
They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;

Luke 2:36,38
And there was one Anna, a prophetess,...she was of great age...

And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

Yes, when we get older, things do "go south," but hey folks, Florida is in the south.  It is called the "Sunshine state."  We older ones are in SONSHINE STATES.  We must purpose not to let the younger folks dismiss us.  We must refuse to believe that we are less attractive because of physical aging factors.  And we should not be obsessed with outward beauty.  That is worldly conduct.  Of course, we should do our best to look attractive and appealing but obsession is sin.  1 Samuel 16:7 says, "...for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart."

About four years ago, I stopped coloring my hair.  Yes, I would look younger if I colored it.  I reached a point when I said, "It is what it is."  One of my then coworkers approached me about my gray hair.  She expressed concern that it wasn't attractive.  I kindly informed her that "It is what it is" and that I wasn't going to color it anymore.  I'm confidently satisfied that it's attractive to the Lord, as well as to me.

Crowned in our
LORD'S gray glory

Also, our Lord led me to streamline my possessions and to, overall, simplify my life.  He revealed that my time investments were too much focused on stuff.  I testify here that streamlining and simplifying has allowed me to put more emphasis on the more meaningful things in life - most especially - time with our Lord.  My gratitude is immense that our Lord shared that with me.  The benefits are priceless!

Each age category has benefits.  We are to be thankful to our Lord, regardless.  Since the focus of this post is primarily about the more mature in age, here I will share some benefits to remind us of our value.  The more mature oak trees provide shade.  The seeds and saplings haven't progressed to that level yet.  We more mature agers have wisdom chests - accumulated over years.  The saplings gain from our wisdom.  We, those who love and serve GOD, know more about who we are - for the most part, we have found ourselves.  We have loved and lost - been there done that - and are wiser for the experiences.  We are more apt to recognize and discern those who are up to no good.  We are typically not inclined to feel entitled - rather we are appreciative of the gifts from GOD.

Below is a report that made me chuckle:

This a.m. I saw a headline on http://www.cnn.com/ that said, "Man 81, 'went to work' on intruder - tough senior fights off intruder." The man, Bobby Smith, a stroke victim, was interviewed on video.  He fought the attempted robber with a pan in which he was cooking potatoes when the intruder came into his kitchen.  Smith said, "I hit him upside the face...  He sank to his knees...I hit him with a #2 frying skillet and it was red hot..."  Smith then got a pitchfork.  He said, "...then I went to work on him."  Smith finished by saying, "Nobody is gonna scare me..."

Here next I will share about outward image pressures.

Particularly, in the entertainment industry there is a focus on outward beauty.  Entertainers, and celebrities are pressured to look good.  They do Botox, peels, and surgery in desperation to retain outward beauty.  It is such bondage to be obsessed with physical appearances.  I feel, particularly, for those in the entertainment industry because they are "forced" to engage in the outward beauty chase to continue to make their livings - at least, that is what they believe.  When JESUS is not Lord in lives, deception is a major presence.

GOD calls us beautiful.  His witness surpasses all others.

This made me smile:

I saw a woman with a t-shirt on that stated, "I'm not fat, I'm fluffy."

The other day when I was out and about and walking, our Lord had me to approach people and address them as beautiful and handsome.  One question I asked some folks was "How long have you been beautiful?"  I approached men, some with numerous missing teeth, and said, "Hi handsome."  So many people smiled.  It was such a pleasure to express to them about their beauty.

At one point, I came upon a man who was heavily drunk.  He was sitting on a step drooling, and he looked barely conscious.  There were a bunch of people yards away.  I walked up to the drunken man and said, "Hi handsome.  How long have you been handsome?"  He seemed to quicken a bit.  One thing that I know is that our Lord told me to say those words to that man.  I believe that the spirit in him heard what I spoke.

As I walked away, two women looked at at me incredulously because of what I spoke to that drunken disheveled man.  I kindly said to them something like, "We can see his dysfunction but some of us are jacked up on the inside where it isn't outwardly visible."  Later our Lord shared with me that that man is somebody's son, somebody's father, somebody's loved one.  We don't know, he could be a future minister.  GOD called him handsome for a reason.  Romans 4:17 says, "...before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were."

1 Corinthians 4:18
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

We, as children of GOD'S kingdom, should not focus on the things of the world.  Our holy roles are not to subscribe to the world's standards.  Romans 12:2 says, "And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

Colossians 3:1, 2
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

1 John 5:9
If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater:...

Love, Sandra
your mature aged sister who is immensely glad to serve GOD, our "King of old" - Psalm 74:12.

WHO WILL CELEBRATE WITH ME?

Original post date April 18, 2011
http://lioneaglesoar.blogspot.com/2011/04/who-will-celebrate-with-me.html

Today our Lord gave me these definitions for those of us, in His body, who have matured in age:

1.) Wrinkles = Life paths - or (added Tuesday August 2nd) map lines

Psalm 23:3
...he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

2.) Gray hair strands = glory crowns

Psalm 8:5
...and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

3.) The things on us that have "gone south" = southern hospitality

Song of Solomon 4:16
Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out.  Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits.

The words "old age" are NOT, necessarily, bad terms - not according to GOD'S Word, the Holy Bible.  Isaiah 53:1 asks, "Who hath believed our report?..."

And remember that GOD is old, young, and middle-aged.  We, His people, all gloriously fit.  Let us sing, rejoice, and celebrate, and do as instructed in Philippians 4:11, "...for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content."

Well, my fellow members of the body of Christ, I hope that you enjoyed my "southern" hospitality (laugh).

Sandra
