Scriptures are from the King James Bible.
This week our Lord has emphasized to me peace and holiness. Also, He requested that I remind His people not to be discouraged about waiting on Him.
Recently, relative to how our Lord manifests, I heard it said, "A delay is not a denial." Certainly, that is true sometimes. While at other times a denial is, in truth, a denial. When, though, a delay is not a denial, most of us have experienced answers to our needs and desires often on GOD'S schedule and not ours. We must wait on the Lord with joy and trust that He knows best. GOD'S Word is truth regardless of circumstances. Satan aims to discourage us in our waits but we must steadfastly choose to triumph over his purposes and to rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS - so says the Holy Bible in Philippians 4:4 .
Remember Daniel 10:12, 13:
Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
Daily, peace and holiness Scriptures are a focus for me until our Lord shifts me elsewhere. I still do other daily Bible reading but include peace and holiness Scripture readings every morning.
In the kingdom of GOD, we're most effective in holiness. Holy living is pure and gains major and steadfast victories for the advancement of GOD'S purposes. He's delighted with holiness because it purely represents Him.
Satan hates when we are in peace in the midst of whatever he launches against us. He desires that we be disturbed and fainthearted. The devil's goal is to keep us uneasy because he knows that such hinders our movements for GOD.
Here are some of the scriptures that I'm reading every morning along with Ephesians 6:11-19:
Numbers 25:12
Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace.
Psalm 55:18
He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me:...
Jeremiah 14:13
...I will give you assured peace in this place.
1 Samuel 2:2
There is none holy as the Lord:...
1 Peter 1:15
But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
Revelation 3:7
...These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
Revelation 22:11
...let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

PEACE AND HOLINESS
ReplyDeleteCan you think of any time that God's timing correlated with yours? Sometimes I think He is either on "fast forward" or (mostly" "freeze frame". He sees the end from the beginning and we are often so short sighted - thank you Lord, for guiding and directing us within your time-frame (eternity!!)
ReplyDeleteHi Marijo -
ReplyDeleteGood question...I'm not sure if I've ever experienced timing that correlated with our Lord's. I'll ponder that.
Yes, indeed, waiting is something else...
But what we do know is that GOD ALWAYS has perfect timing. Thank You, Lord.
Hi there. This is a very encouraging post and of course, perfect in His timing!!! I was just asking the Lord regarding my case at work, "How long Oh Lord must I wait?"
ReplyDeleteHe made me think about my child when he asks my husband and I if he wanted something, we don't always say "Yes." Sometimes, it's a "No" and he respects that. Sometimes, there is no answer and in those waiting period, our child sometimes ponders of his requests and then changes his mind if he ends up knowing that it is not for his best interest, then, more likely, his request will be denied.
I forget, I'm that way too with my prayers. He wants me to learn patience and as I wait, I must learn, too not what I want but what He wants knowing that He has the best interest for me at all times. He is after all, the Best Giver of gifts. Glory be to God!
Thank you for reminding me and encouraging me with my trial at work. I pray peace and God's wisdom to continue to guide you and may His angels surround you...What perfect timing as I just told my child this morning during breakfast, to never weary at school, to always do the right thing not because of me and his dad but because of Him, his heavenly Father. And to always pray about everything, always with thanks to our Lord, and God's peace will surely guard his heart and mind because of Christ Jesus...Our Lord!
Peace and holiness. I love this! Living in holiness is surely a pathway to living in and with peace - PERFECT peace.
ReplyDeleteYour poem, "Dance of Fire" was ON FIRE! It truly made me want to dance!
Good food for the soul.
I have always been so intrigued by those verses in Daniel. To think that sometimes our prayers might be delayed because of the battle taking place in the spiritual realms.
ReplyDeleteBut here is the awesome truth in these verses: "...for FROM THE FIRST DAY that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words."
God hears - right at the very beginning. And so, His love and His presence are instantly at our disposal. THAT is the ultimate answer to any prayer - that we are heard by the Most High God - and that He cares about our words.
Glory - timing becomes secondary when we realize the Love that God has for us. That He listens to His children...
GOD BLESS!
(Sounds like you've been a busy girl! So very exciting!)
Greetings -
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your helpful comments. Yes, our Lord always has perfect timing. The perfect PEACE of Jesus is such a comfort indeed. How wonderful that our Lord hears all and manifests...
