Scriptures are from the King James Bible.
Matthew 7:15, 16
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Ye shall know them by their fruits...
Hebrews 4:14
But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
People, Satan is rabid to discredit GOD and GOD'S purposes. And some of the main folks that the devil uses are those who are in churches. We're commanded to love and to forgive but nowhere in the Holy Bible are we commanded to trust in man. Trust should be proven. And the only ONE who can be FULLY trusted is GOD.
1 Corinthians 2:5
That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
We are in spiritual warfare daily and daily we need to be fully armored according to the Word of GOD in Ephesians 6.
Satan has no pity for us. He has diabolical hatred. We cannot afford to give him place for he can devour us if we don't cleave intimately to GOD.
Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Evil is waxing worse and worse. The body of Christ members must live lives that distinguish us from the people of the world. We're mandated to please GOD above all else. If we don't, for sure, we'll experience unpleasant consequences for our rebellion. Now is the time to do the will of GOD. Our Lord is becoming increasingly displeased at how He's being mocked. In particular, by those who profess to be His children while steadfastly being more in conformance with the standards of the world, which is allegiance to the agenda of Satan.
2 Timothy 3:13
But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
Titus 1:16
Titus 1:16
They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
1 Samuel 15:23
For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry....
Our Lord shared with me that, relative to corrections, He can deal with us on three levels.
Level 1 = Requests from Him
Level 2 = Warnings from Him
Level 3 = Judgments from Him
If we don't heed GOD'S requests, He comes sharp with rebukes = warnings. If we don't heed His warnings, He comes with furious rebukes = judgments - in this life and beyond.
Ezekiel 25:17
And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.
Colossians 3:25
But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.
Jeremiah 2:27, 28
...for they have turned their back unto me, and not their face: but in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise, and save us.
But where are thy gods that thou hast made thee? let them arise, if they can save thee in the time of thy trouble:...

People are playing with and mocking GOD. GOD is NOT playing with us. We need to forsake conforming to the world. Certainly, GOD isn't pleased when His full gospel is compromised.
It bears repetition. He, requests, then warns, and then judges.
Exodus 32:26
...Who is on the Lord's side?...
Matthew 7:21
Matthew 7:21
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven: but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Some folks believe "Once saved, always saved." I disagree. In 2011, I wrote a blog post about it. The topic got numerous comments. Some folks agreed and some did not. If you're so inclined, here's the link http://lioneaglesoar.blogspot.com/2011/07/once-saved-always-saved.html
I ask, if "once saved, always saved," why does our Lord say the following?:
Revelation 22:19
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Revelation 2:5
Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
I conclude with Ephesians 4:15
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
The Holy Bible tells us that lack of knowledge destroys.
ReplyDeleteI certainly agree that "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" (1 Peter 5:8 KJV)
ReplyDeleteUsing "Judge not, that ye be not judged."(Matthew 7:1 KJV) to keep from saying someone is wrong takes away from our ability to be 'fruit inspectors', discerning what is right and wrong.
While Christ's followers may differ on an interpretation of a verse or two, none of us will deny His divinity or His message. We will appreciate Paul's writing: "Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel. What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice." (Philippians 1:15-18 KJV)
Things are definitely ratcheting up - last night I had a dream and was doing spiritual warfare in the dream - Mick woke me and asked me what was going on and I told him I was fighting demons. Never had that happen before!
ReplyDeleteWe need to be READY and without spot or wrinkle.... as His Bride - I sense there is yet much ironing to be done.... I yield to my Lord and Savior who knows all and knows me best - wow, HE is able and I am so glad it is Him....
We need to be aware of demon activity, and to be pulling down strongholds. Just this last week I realised in myself, just how horrible that I can be. I want to cry when I think I have hurt another, and yet I am sure I have. Satan will use us to hurt others and others to hurt us. We have to be continually on guard.
ReplyDeleteHi -
ReplyDeleteThank you all for commenting. It sure helps to have others share.
We're all students and teachers.
Glory to GOD.
A sober word for all believers you've shared Sandra. Stay on the battlefield.
ReplyDeleteThe words you write serve as a warning, Sandra. God gives us gentle nudges at the start, then warnings, then judgment as a consequence of non-action or disobedience on our part. The Scripture passages state clearly that there is no such thing as once saved always saved. He is looking for overcomes, those who persevere to the end.
ReplyDeleteAmen!Well put. Sounds to me Sandra like you're an appointed "Watchman" as in Ezekiel chapter 3.
ReplyDeleteOnward, warrior of God.
