DANCE OF FIRE

I wrote the content on this blog with sincere and holy intentions with the knowledge that I had at the time... We live, learn and amend...as errors are exposed and more truths are revealed...

Only GOD is perfect. It's vital that you seek the Lord to expose any errors that you've embraced. Please ask Him to expose any areas of darkness to you and for what is necessary to do to dispossess what's NOT of truth.

POETRY: DANCE OF FIRE

Flames of fire dance joyfully as dreams of fervor conjure up images of red hot passion for the gusto of life.

Sizzle, spark, explode -

Fireballs light up the sky. Wow! a thunder flash with a clap -

The flames are vivid with the awesome glow of orange colors blended with yellow highlights that accent the blaze.

This display is the bomb torched with a rocket plan. Such rapture has lit our fire. We are dynamite on this journey.

Come on fire, fall on us. Pour your liquid potency. Ignite our souls that we may be engulfed with magnified intensity.

Blow up our hearts. Dance with us....

Sandra

A VISIT

Greetings -

SORROW CAME TO VISIT:

Heart asks, “Sorrow, what are you doing here?”

“I came to live in you.”

“Oh no you won’t. You came for a short visit – the operative word being “short.”

“We’ll see about that.”

"No doubt, we will.”

Heart puts on some upbeat music and begins to dance.

Sorrow, in disappointment, watches Heart in rhythm.

Twirling around, Heart smiles at Sorrow.

Sorrow winces. Sorrow starts to make loud noises to disturb the groove of Heart.

Fingers snapping to the music, Heart tells Sorrow, “You’ll be leaving soon.”

Sorrow struggles to hide the fear. “I have plans to stay.”

“Your plans will be cancelled.”

“Sorrow states, “I did NOT get a round trip ticket,” and unconvincingly adds, “Because I am here to stay.”

“It is on you that you got a one way fare from a place of assumption. I can assure you that your status here is as a visitor. There is no vacancy here for another resident. This heart is a gift from my Creator and I will have you out of here in less than an hour.”

“And how do you propose to do that?”

“You didn’t know that I have a happy pump?!”

“What?!”

“A happy pump. I use it to pump happiness deep down in my soul. It came packaged from my Creator. The accessories are peace and joy, among other prized possessions.  Every now and then, I refuel the pump with paradise juice. When you came in, I said, “Ok pump, Sorrow is in the building. Let’s go to work.” Music went on the notes, dancing followed, twirling ensued – you get the drift?”

Sorrow simmers. “I’m not leaving. I am here to break you.”

“Not only are you leaving but you will be leaving mad. You came to break but failure will be your “reward.”

“Humph,” pouts Sorrow.

Heart dances some more – this time with singing mixed in. Heart continues to dance to a few more songs. Soon Heart starts laughing so merrily that tears flow from the joy that bubbles from within.

Sorrow is too through. “I did not expect this celebration of life. I came here to disturb peace and to live permanently.”

"I know what you came to do. What you did NOT know is that I was made ready for you. You came here to break me. What you got was a break dance, a fox trot, a waltz, an electric slide, and some twirls thrown in for good measure. Laughter joined in with singing and tears of joy. Actually, you were the recipient of an impromptu concert, compliments from the Heart. Now you can take your visitor’s pass, and let yourself out while I dance over to play the next song titled, “Sorrow Has Left the Building.”

  1. I love it! Sing praises for a happy pump and paradise juice. Our Lord is able to provide!

Oh, I needed this today as we face Beloved Husband's surgery tomorrow. The physical pain will recede, but the spiritual glow will never leave.

  2. Hi Grammy -

Initially, I had another post entered here but the Lord told me to remove that post and to post this one, "A VISIT."

When I read your comment, "Oh, I needed this today...," I was pleased that the Lord had me to remove the first post because He knew that you needed this today. I had no idea.

The Word of GOD is so absolutely true. We are not to put our trust in man but our absolute trust must be in Him, the only ONE WHO knows all things all of the time. What a great comfort to have such an awareness!

  5. Sandra - What a great story! I really loved it. It's true, how Sorrow tries so hard to take up residence in our hearts. But you have told of the perfect antidote - a good healthy serving of PEACE and JOY - made by the Master Chef Himself - GOD!

I liked the picture, too. I was reminded of the many times my husband and I have visited the desert. Sometimes, right in the middle of NOTHING, there will be a cactus, with beautiful flowers growing out of it.

That's how I want to be - like a cactus blooming in the desert. A dancer chasing away Sorrow.

GOD BLESS - have a great day!

  6. Greetings fellow saints:

    @Grammy
You are certainly welcome for the prayers. Glad that you like the photo. Be encouraged, precious lady!

    @Julie
Isn't it wonderful and comforting to know that GOD knows what we need precisely when we need it? He so loves us!

    @Sharon
Glad that you loved the story. Yes, Sorrow tries...

I remember that you mentioned that you and your husband enjoy the desert. When you get a chance go back to www.photosplendorplus.blogspot.com to note the information that I added. I added the states in
the USA that have deserts (10 states). I was surprised to find out that there is a desert in Idaho.

I like your comment, "...like a cactus blooming in the desert. A dancer chasing away Sorrow."

I like this one, especially the last line "sorrow" has left the building.

  8. Love the imagery and your creative "word pictures" - even the sorrow we have over our sin can be relieved and released with a stop of repentance at the foot of the cross!!! AMEN
