DANCE OF FIRE

I wrote the content on this blog with sincere and holy intentions with the knowledge that I had at the time... We live, learn and amend...as errors are exposed and more truths are revealed...

Only GOD is perfect. It's vital that you seek the Lord to expose any errors that you've embraced. Please ask Him to expose any areas of darkness to you and for what is necessary to do to dispossess what's NOT of truth.

POETRY: DANCE OF FIRE

Flames of fire dance joyfully as dreams of fervor conjure up images of red hot passion for the gusto of life.

Sizzle, spark, explode -

Fireballs light up the sky. Wow! a thunder flash with a clap -

The flames are vivid with the awesome glow of orange colors blended with yellow highlights that accent the blaze.

This display is the bomb torched with a rocket plan. Such rapture has lit our fire. We are dynamite on this journey.

Come on fire, fall on us. Pour your liquid potency. Ignite our souls that we may be engulfed with magnified intensity.

Blow up our hearts. Dance with us....

Sandra

THE PERILS OF WHINING

Greetings -

Scriptures are from the King James Bible

Photo compliments of Sandra - Copyright 2011

I’ve been on “travel” and caught the “red eye” to seize more awareness.

What does that mean?

Our Lord had me on blog hiatus in September to dig deeper into Him.  The September journey afforded me the opportunity to focus more keenly on our Lord.

One particularly beneficial exercise that our Lord now leads me to do daily after daily morning Bible reading and prayer is to lay prostrate on my prayer rug to listen to what He has to say.  Lying prostrate purposing to listen, as I reverence Him in my quietness, GOD CERTAINLY speaks.

I mentioned that I’ve been on travel and that I caught the red eye.  The travel carried me to new dimensions in our Lord and the red eye that I caught is more awareness about the power of the red blood of our Savior, JESUS Christ.  Truly, the “trip” was a fruitful and spiritually profitable journey.

While engaged during the September hiatus, our Lord emphasized to me that He is tired of whining Christians.  He spoke to me, “Stop whining and execute.”

Some of you may remember, years ago, on Saturday Night Live, a regular comedy sketch with a couple called, “The Whiners."  Habitually, in whiny voices, they whined throughout the subject skits.  Our Lord isn't inclined to whining.  It isn’t funny to Him nor is it pleasing to His holy ears.

Did/does JESUS whine?  No.  We are commanded to have the mind of Christ, and to be conformed to His image as well as to be transformed by the renewing of our minds – 1 Corinthians 2:16, Romans 8:29, and Romans 12:2.

Does our Lord understand that sometimes we need to complain and vent?  Yes, He understands but when we unduly complain, our Lord is insulted and provoked to anger because our minds aren't stayed on Him.  GOD disapproves of conduct that does not glorify Him.  There is abundant proof of that in His Holy Bible.

It is music to Satan's ears when we whine.  Whining entertains him.  He craves such attention.  Our Lord craves holiness and that our attention is stayed on Him.  Yes, it's challenging but the more we practice obedience to the will and Word of GOD, the more automatic it becomes.

As we live pure and holy lives, we need to wallop the devil with the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of GOD.  When Satan comes against us, we should steadfastly do as JESUS did - live of the gospel and tell Satan, "It is written."

Here is some scriptural proof of the content contained here:

Exodus 14:15
And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:

Exodus 17: 4, 5, 7
And Moses cried unto the Lord, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Go on…and go.

…and because they tempted the Lord, saying, Is the Lord among us, or not?

1 Kings 19:10, 11
And he said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I , even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.

And he said, Go forth, and stand

1 Kings 19: 14, 15
And he said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.

And the Lord said unto him, Go,…

Numbers 14:11
And the Lord said unto Moses, how long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shown among them?

Numbers 11:1
And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord: and the Lord heard it; and his anger was kindled;…

Jude 16
These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts:…

Philippians 2:14
Do all things without murmurings…

Romans 6:6
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

Romans 6: 11, 12
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Romans 6:14
For sin shall not have dominion over you: …

Romans 6:18
Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

  1. Hi there. Seeing the hardship in this very trying times, it seems that the easiest thing to do is just to "whine". In reality, there are so many things to be grateful for by starting to look at those little things that the Lord has blessed us with, much more with the salvation He offered.

Long time ago, I told my son while we were in the car that we should stop whining and instead just say "Thank You Lord" for any little complaint instead and see the good things out of any undesirable situations. Doing so help us to focus on things that truly matter the most. I know He was the One Who led us into that conversation, after all, He deserves our praises and thanks. So, thank you for sharing this from your heart. God bless.

  2. Hearty encouragement here, Sandra - and a challenging call to be wary of the temptation to whine. Grumbling can become a habit, and the Lord doesn't like it. Now, He wants us to be honest with Him, yes. But I think the secret is that we turn our wills over to HIS will, and we pray for the ability to accept whatever circumstance He allows with His providential hand.

I have always found this verse very interesting (as it pertains to the Israelites):

"For all these forty years your clothes didn't wear out, and your feet didn't blister or swell." (Deuteronomy 8:4)

Deuteronomy 29:5 also adds that their sandals didn't wear out. This was an amazing miracle. A mystery that testifies to the watchful care of the Lord. And there's a great lesson in it, too. Grumbling and complaining about what we DON'T have can often blind us to the miraculous things that God DOES provide.

We should be looking for the blessings - God gives us what we NEED. And stop complaining about the things we WANT. God loves us too much to give in to our wants.

    Frankly, I'm glad for that!

    GOD BLESS!

  3. Greetings -

    @rcubes
You're right - we have much to be grateful and thankful for...

    @Sharon
My spirit quickened at your mention of the Deuteronomy scriptures. Great reminders, Sharon.

Glory to our precious Lord for supplying all of our needs. Only He knows precisely what we need, when, and how. And he does give us what we want when HE WANTS TO... How wise He is in it all.

  4. Hi Sandra,

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Very thought-provoking post! Yes, God doesn't like us to complain. And I must admit I'm one to do just that. But because of His mercy .... because of His mercy He continues to bless me immensely. Halleluja Amen!

Oooh you got me all fired up!

    Blessings,
    Judy

  5. Ah yes, Whining, it not only provokes God, but it drives the people around you crazy.

Thank you Sandra for this thought provoking post. I think we all have complained at one point or another, but we shouldn't make a habit of it.
