Greetings -
This is my second post today.
There are scores of people who do not know the whereabouts of their family members and loved ones. Runaways are plentiful and it is such a sorrowful position to not know where your loved ones
are. Some people have been missing for years. It is so sad that there is no closure. GOD, of course, knows.
The runaway youth are in vulnerable positions. They are often preyed upon by perverse adults. They are scared, angry and depressed. Many of these youth use drugs and alcohol to numb their pain. They have little trust because of being wounded by so many. They are adrift. They have been exposed to some of the most sordid aspects of life.
The government cannot do what the Holy Ghost can do. The government is on the shoulder of our Lord Christ (Isaiah 9:6.) Only GOD can set people free, heal wounded hearts, set at liberty those who are bound, and make broken hearts whole.
Prayer:
Honorable Father GOD, please honor this prayer to reveal the whereabouts of missing loved ones. Let truth come forth. Father, we understand, that some of the missing loved ones are no longer alive but Lord, please provide clousure to families and loved ones.
Let discoveries be made all over this world. Reveal locations, please Lord.
Please have runaways, and others to contact their families, and let them return home to loving welcomes. Fix whatever is wrong in households so that holy peace becomes present. Please provide more sources of refuge for fragile souls. Send more of Your saints to love on the most vulnerable members of society. Change hearts today, please Lord, as You know that many hearts are hardened. Let forgiveness manifest and let love reign. Provide the skills necessary to minister effectively with wisdom to those who are in deep pain.
Thank you, Lord - Amen.
Runaways and missing persons...
ReplyDeleteIt is awful to consider what is happening to these youth at home to make them feel compelled to run away! I am praying this prayer with you!
ReplyDeleteHi Faith Imagined -
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining with me in prayer about this...
Sometimes it is just demonic influence that makes them run away -- or open the door to someone who will kill their parents!
ReplyDeleteDemonic influence can come from proximity to charmed objects or people. It can come from spells being cast upon them.
The quick answer is deliverance. Deliverance for their friends and families. Deliverance for all their properties and things in their environments.
And then blessing for all the above.
I saw a teenager in my church start wearing black fingernail polish and eye shadow. Her clothes started getting blacker. I met her boyfriend. He was all in black. I did the above without telling anyone. The boyfriend disappeared. She returned to dressing in normal clothes. She went back to being mellow again.
We definitely need to be praying for our youth. Not just the ones who have run away from their families, and such, but all of them. I think it is so much harder to grow up in today's world, and if our youth don't have God's love keeping them going, then they will be lost. We need to pray for a revival in the youth of today.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the prayer you prayed Sandra, and I'm agreeing with you in that prayer. I have two teen-aged sons, and I can't imagine going through what some of these families are going through with loved ones who have run away, or just disappeared.
Sandra - This was an awesome post. So very caring. I was reminded of the image of Jesus, our Good Shepherd. The One who went and searched for the 100th lamb who was lost. I will join you in praying that the lost will return home, the missing will be found - that God will bring healing to families, and closure to hurting hearts.
ReplyDeleteGOD BLESS!

Thank you...what you provided is indeed helpful.
It is a much needed perspective indeed.
@Julie
You are so right - all youth need prayer not just the runaways. Great points, Julie!
@Sharon
That is a great reminder - the "100th lamb..."
Thank you for mentioning that. It warmed my heart to remember...
