DANCE OF FIRE

I wrote the content on this blog with sincere and holy intentions with the knowledge that I had at the time... We live, learn and amend...as errors are exposed and more truths are revealed...

Only GOD is perfect. It's vital that you seek the Lord to expose any errors that you've embraced. Please ask Him to expose any areas of darkness to you and for what is necessary to do to dispossess what's NOT of truth.

POETRY: DANCE OF FIRE

Flames of fire dance joyfully as dreams of fervor conjure up images of red hot passion for the gusto of life.

Sizzle, spark, explode -

Fireballs light up the sky. Wow! a thunder flash with a clap -

The flames are vivid with the awesome glow of orange colors blended with yellow highlights that accent the blaze.

This display is the bomb torched with a rocket plan. Such rapture has lit our fire. We are dynamite on this journey.

Come on fire, fall on us. Pour your liquid potency. Ignite our souls that we may be engulfed with magnified intensity.

Blow up our hearts. Dance with us....

Sandra

FINE DINING WITH JESUS

Greetings -

Scriptures from the King James Bible

Recently I heard a pastor speak about our Lord not being fast food and that some people treat our Lord as a drive through "meal."

This post expands on that message.

Who desires to engage in fine dining with our Lord with exquisite linen accompanied by candles and the soothing sounds of worship music?  What about to indulge in delicious appetizers seasoned with the right amount of organic herbs?

Our Lord delights in communion with us as we thirstily drink from His rivers of living water.  At the table, we fellowship as we wait for the main course.  Our Lord regales us with great stories and testimonies.  We laugh with Him.  We weep with Him for the glory that He so awesomely provides.

The main course arrives.  Our Lord, the Bread of Life, blesses our meal.  We slice into the meat that is of prime tenderness with succulent juices that surface.

John 4:34
Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

Psalm 34:8
O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

We enjoy every word that proceeds from the mouth of our Lord.

Deuteronomy 8:3
And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.

There is much joy at the table as we sup with the KING.  All are on one accord with the MASTER MAN.  We get our fill.

Matthew 5:6
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

As we prepare to go forth into all the world, and preach the gospel, we clasp hands as our Lord prays to the Father for His will to be done.

Jesus summons the waitress and blesses her with a bountiful monetary tip - but the best tips that he gives her are His love assurances with this scripture from Romans 10:9, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

The waitress is visibly affected.  It is impossible to be in the pure presence of JESUS and not be affected.  Tears well in her eyes as she thanks the Lord and says, "I believe."

JESUS replies, "I know you do.  He motions to us his dinner "dates."  He tells the waitress, "My children here will help you further."  JESUS then smiles, waves and walks out the shut door.

John 20:26
...then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

FAST FOOD

Fast food certainly has its place.  It can be good in a pinch or when the funds aren't in thrive motion.  There are seasons when we need to go the quickie route.  Then there are the moments in life when we may only have time to say the name "JESUS."  Once I was driving and had an accident.  In the moment, the most that I had time to say was "JESUS."  I yelled His name.  Yes I did!  Hallelujah!  Immediately, I was comforted and felt assurances from on high.  JESUS was present indeed and knew how to provide me that fast food.  No one else delivers on His levels!  Thank you, Lord.

Overall, though, we know that a steady diet of fast food is not healthy.  Medical studies have proven that it clogs arteries, among other unhealthy things that it does.  We cannot expect to sufficiently grow spiritually if we regularly drive through on our Lord.  He is not a No. 2 or No. 3 from the fast food menu.  He is No. 1 and we need to indulge with Him in "slo mo" to give Him our best and to receive the best that He has to offer.

Let us habitually have sit down meals with our Lord in fine dining mode.  He shares nothing but the best quality cuisine.  Oh glory! how marvelously He feeds His sheep.  Truly, to indulge in regular profitable holy digestion does our hearts good.

Got milk?

Samples from the scriptural menu:

John 6:48
I am that bread of life.

Psalm 90:17
And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

Mark 16:15
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Dear Sandra, Firstly, I would like to apologize for not stopping by sooner to thank you for all kind-loving and very encouraging comments you have left on several of my posts. When your page opened the first thing I read was, "WHY AM I HERE? - TO GIVE GOD GLORY." I cannot begin to tell you how uplifting those very words are to me. So dear sister, my hand in yours, together we lift up our arms - doing a little dance :-) and we give God all the glory! God is good... And all the time! I look forward to getting to know you in 2011. Keep growing and glowing for God! With love and care from Kerrie. xOx

  2. Blessings Sandra... What a delightfully descriptive feast with the Lamb, the King of kings! I totally enjoyed not only the creativity of this piece but also the extra "helping" of beautiful scriptures! Indeed He is #1 choice!

Hallelujah! The blessed Name of Jesus!

Instead of fast food, I read I think in the "Papa Prayer" by Larry Crabb that we go to Our Lord in prayer as if He is a "vending machine"!
Ouch! It is such a joy to read a blog that is focused on giving God the glory! That's the benefit for tomorrow: To Glorify God ~ yet truly each day that is our privilege of choice as we also have the option of "fine dining".

Thank you for sharing "the bread of Life" today!
Thank You Lord for the glorious cuisine You offer through our sister Sandra and her gift of writing for You! Her dance of fire allows us to see You in all Your Majesty! Glory!

Bless you for your sweet visit again and encouragement! I love when we can energize one another and boost our faith! Praying with you for law enforcement protection and safety as well as here to break the corruption of those in the place of law and order to bring justice and defeat crime as they protect us. May they find honor and a shield from the Almighty in Jesus' Name!

    Peace, love and Joy,
    Peggy

  4. Sandra - You paint a "word picture" like no other. I am so privileged to be able to dine at the table with YOU! And yes - doesn't the Lord serve the BEST meal (I think it started with a spinach salad!!) I was reminded of the wedding feast of the Lamb - can you hardly wait??

I continue to be amazed at how often God leads you and I to some of the same thoughts! Fast and slow - they are good things to ponder.

Fast food, eaten fast - not very nutritious, and not often good for us.
Fine dining, eaten slow - Yum. Filling, satisfying, and completely edifying for our spiritual bodies.

Feed me more, Lord - I'm hungry.

    GOD BLESS!

  8. Hi Sandra,

This was a very enjoyable post to read and so very, very true!
Our spiritual selves need to be fed with the full word of God on a regular basis or we will become weak and no good to do our job in the spiritual realm.
Thank you for being so obedient to our Lord you blessed me with this post and I am sure you bless many others.

    In Him,
    <><

  9. Sandra this is so beautiful and I enjoyed the imagery and writing and tweeted this on my profile page. If we spend enough time in the word then we take on the character of Christ and his nature. How can a man or woman not be transformed by his word when we read it daily. It strengthens us.

  11. Hi Sandra,
I have just finished reading your posts Fine Dining with Jesus, and Fastfood.

The words pictures you have presented are just awesome. Such a realistic analogy of what it is to feast on organic salads, meat seasoned with home grown herbs, I can imagine the very scenario you are describing.

Yes, dear friend. Everything you have written here is so true. Fastfood is inevitable at times, but we cannot continue on that diet for prolonged periods of time.

Go on slo-mo... and savor every juicy morsel of food that Jesus, our greatest gourmet chef has to offer!

    Blessings on your day...
    Lidj
