GOD SAYS WHAT HE MEANS AND HE MEANS WHAT HE SAYS

Greetings -

Scriptures from the King James Bible.

Today I read a scripture where GOD states that He will "disinherit them" for their continued disobedience.  Numbers 14:12 states, "I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them..."

When I read that this a.m., it deeply affected me.  Our Lord went on to say in Numbers 14:23, 24, "Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it:  But my servant Caleb because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it."

Lord, we need to wholly follow You.  I repent for even hesitating not to wholly follow You.  Please forgive me, Father.  Your Word says in Romans 8:17 "And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together."  When I read today, Lord, what Your Word states, "...will disinherit them...," You know how deeply that struck me.  In essence, You made it clear that we can be disinherited if we don't steadfastly and wholly do as You instruct.  Partial obedience is disobedience, and being unwilling to obey is sinful, as well.  Your Word states in Isaiah 1:19, "If ye be willing and obedient,..."  I believe that You had me to read the subject passages today to better recognize and to understand that full obedience to You is a deeply serious matter.  Also, You led me to share this for the awareness of "whosoever will."  It must not be lightly esteemed or -  woe to us.   

Father, Your Word states in Hebrews 12:28,29,"Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:  For our God is a consuming fire." 

As I read on in Numbers 14, I was stirred by how after their rebellion and Your rebuke, Lord, the Israelites presumed and, as a result, they were "smote" by the enemy.  

Numbers 14:25
And they returned from searching of the land after forty days.

Numbers 14:32,33
And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel,...

And there we saw the giants,...and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.  

In Numbers 14:34, Lord, You say this to the Israelites: 
After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise.

Numbers 14:40-45
And they arose up early in the morning, and gat them up into the top of the mountain, saying, Lo, we be here, and will go up unto the place which the Lord hath promised: for we have sinned.

And Moses said, Wherefore now do you transgress the commandment of the Lord? but it shall not prosper.

Go not up, for the Lord is not among you; that ye be not smitten before your enemies.

For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and ye shall fall by the sword; because ye are turned away from the Lord, therefore the Lord will not be with you.

But they presumed to go up unto the hill top: nevertheless the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and Moses, departed not out of the camp. 

Then the Amalekites came down, and the Canaanites which dwelt in that hill, and smote them, and discomfited them,...

Prayer:

Father, please help us to steadfastly wholly follow You.  3 John 4 says, "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth."  Please help us to be holy flame missiles, SON dwellers, and vessels of honor who abide fervently and steadfastly in You for Your glory, and for the advancement of Your kingdom.  Teach us how to reach unbelievers, please, with Your love demonstrated from our sanctified and Holy Ghost empowered souls.  Let us be mindful that we must decree the full gospel beyond the confines of church buildings.  Let us witness of You and JESUS at the markets, the malls, the restaurants, the theaters, and other places, public and otherwise.  

Let us remember that it is vitally important to be DOERS of Your Word.  If we fail to have pure hearts and clean hands, we cannot flow in holy anointed power because Your Word clearly states that You hide Your face from sin.  And You are no respecter of persons.  Colossians 3:25 states, "But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons."

Help us; please Lord, to be holy as You are holy -
1 Peter  1:16.  Thank you, Lord - Amen.
