WHY WERE GOD, AND JESUS REMOVED...?

Greetings -

Here are instances where Jesus, God and the Spirit have been removed:

Matthew 25:13 - KJV
Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Matthew 25:13 - NIV
Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.
(Note: They removed "Son of man" which equals - they removed Christ.)

Luke 4:4 - KJV
...That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

Luke 4:4 - NIV
...Man does not live on bread alone.
(Note: They removed "God.")

John 6:47 - KJV
...He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

John 6:47 - NIV
I tell you the truth, he who believes has everlasting life.
(Note: There is no mention of "on me."  How is that telling us the truth if they leave out "on me?"  To remove "on me" is to remove  Christ.)

The Acts 2:30 - KJV
...according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

The Acts 2:30 - NIV
But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne.
(Note: They removed "Christ.")

The Acts 8:37 - KJV
...I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

The Acts 8:37 - NIV
(Note: They removed Christ - and the entire verse.  The NIV does  not have verse 37 - at all.) 

The Acts 23:9 - KJV
...let us not fight against God.

The Acts 23:9 - NIV
(Note: They removed "God."  That statement "let us not fight against God" has been removed.)

1 Peter 1:22 - KJV
...through the Spirit..

1 Peter 1:22 - NIV
(Note: They removed "the Spirit.")

Revelation 20:9 - KJV
...fire came down from God...

Revelation 20:9 - NIV
fire came down from heaven...
(Note: They removed "God.")

Revelation 5:14 - KJV
... and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.

Revelation 5:14 - NIV
...and the elders fell down and worshipped.
(Note: They removed "him..." - which equals - they removed Christ.)

1 John 4:3 - KJV
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God:

1 John 4:3 - NIV
but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God.
(Note: They removed "that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not "of" God. - The KJV says that EVERY spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God."  The NIV removed "is come in the flesh" - does that mean that they are one of the EVERY spirit?) Also in that scripture, the NIV mentions "Jesus" but removed "Christ."  It says, " but every spirit that does not acknowlege Jesus is not from God."  The KJV says "Jesus Christ."

It deeply disturbs me that in the above cited instances, "God, Jesus, and the Spirit" were removed. 

Here are a couple of other instances of NIV "changes":

Romans 13:9 - KJV
...Thou shalt not bear false witness,...

Romans 13:9 - NIV
(Note: That statement "Thou shalt not bear false witness" has been removed. - Does that mean that the NIV does bear false witness?)

Revelation 21:24 - KJV
And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light:

Revelation 21:24 - NIV
The nations will walk by its light,...
(Note: They removed "which are saved.")

Notes from former NIV readers (first mentioned here under the topic, "MY EXPERIENCES WITH THE ORIGINAL KING JAMES BIBLE, DATED SUNDAY DECEMBER 12, 2010.)

Sandra's comments:  For new converts to Christ, I have often been informed that the Gospel of John is a good book to begin in the original KJV.  There have been vigorous discussions that the NIV and other versions are easier to understand.  For hundreds of years before the other versions became available, scores of people got saved with usage of the original KJV version.  Many strong, potent, powerful Christians were/are the result.  Of course, sincere prayer is vital for understanding God's word, and of utmost importance is to love the Lord our God with all of our hearts, souls, and minds, and to love others, according to God's commands.

Also, as the former NIV reader stated above, "Sure, I got saved by the NIV, but it made Jesus a little bit distant from the Father," 

Further, relative to the NIV being easier to understand:

All of those removals of "God, and Jesus" that I mentioned in scripture citations above, makes me even more disinclined to support the NIV.  If I were a new convert, I believe that I'd be inclined to read the Bible that included God, and Jesus, such as is shown in the original KJV.

In addition, I read that one Christian stated that it is possible to get saved using the NIV, but that it does not promote spiritual growth. 

Some may believe that those removals of God, and Jesus from the NIV are not of major importance. I lovingly disagree. Also, I wonder what else has been removed from the NIV. In addition, the website http://www.av1611.com/ mentions omissions and distortions relative to the NAS and the NKJV. I have read some of that, as well.

Relative to the foreign languge translation matters:

I confess ignorance about said issue but sincerely state that I am deeply grateful for those that our Lord has led in those realms.

Certainly we need saints who are knowledgable to go forth into all the world to teach and to preach the gospel of the kingdom of God, according to what the word of our Lord commands. Indeed there are people of excellence who our Lord has appointed to minister relative to foreign languages and cultures.  Their valuable endeavors are much appreciated. 

My original post on this topic received numerous lengthy comments that varied in tone.  I deeply appreciate all of those comments because truly we do learn from one another.  My firm belief is that we are all students and teachers in the body of our Lord.  Praise His awesome all-knowing name.  

I was ready to move on from the topic but continued to get comments about it.  The most recent comment was one that I read this a.m. (Thursday December 16, 2010) that was sent to me, via e-mail, by a fellow Christian who stated that she was referred here to LIONS SHARE MAJESTY relative to the said topic.  I posted her comments on this blog this a.m. under the post topic, "MY EXPERIENCES WITH THE ORIGINAL KING JAMES BIBLE" dated Sunday December 12, 2010.

Interesting observations. It's amazing what you find in the Bible when you become a student of the Word of God. As for me, my favorite version of the Bible is the King James Version. This is mostly because it is a more strict word for word translation from the Hebrew and Greek manuscripts, and also the King James Version shows in italics any words the translators inserted into the passage. This makes it easy for me when I want to translate from the Hebrew and Greek manuscripts to see how they arrived at the English wording that they did. Again, this is just my personal preference. I do use the NIV at times when I want to quote verse, and the NIV is clearer for quoting.

Thank you for weighing in on this. Your viewpoints are valued indeed.

Interesting that you mentioned the part about the italics in the KJV. Yes...indeed.

My experience is that the original KJV is easier to memorize and quote. When I started mostly using the KJV, that progressed to where I can quote it from memory for about a half hour without repeating a citation. Sometimes I quote it out loud without pausing - for more than 30 minutes. Some years ago, I found myself in a disturbing circumstance and I didn't have my Bible with me. I was able to quote out loud extensively from the KJV and that was a major help in that mini-crisis. Now I take my Bible everywhere. Some months ago, I was with some people and we were getting out of the car to go to the grocery store. I got my Bible. One of my companions told me that I could leave my Bible in the car. My response was that I take my Bible everywhere - and I added there could be someone in the grocery store who needs something from the Bible. They agreed...though I don't believe that it was heartily. No matter...my Bible goes with me everywhere, and I pray regularly to our Lord that I will steadfastly live what is in its pages!

May our Lord help us all.

Righteous Father God, only You know it all.  I have written here as Your messenger with the awareness that I am finite, and that You are infinite.  We are commanded to love You, to obey You, and to trust You - above all else. 

Please move upon hearts to seek You in earnest in regard to this Bible version matter.  I know what You have instructed me and that is to mostly use the original King James version - with rare exceptions.  I am also certain that You instructed me to post these comments.  What I don't know is what You purpose to do in the hearts of others.  That role, Lord, is Yours alone.  You assigned me this duty to post the words.  My prayer is that You are sought for clarity and direction on the matter.  Some of my fellow
body-of-Christ members already have the necessary clarity from You while others do not.  May only Your will be obeyed by us all.

TAG ON TO MY EARLIER POST TODAY, "MY EXPERIENCES WITH THE ORIGINAL KING JAMES BIBLE"

Here are just three examples of what I found on the comparison chart that I provided the link to on my earlier post on this matter.
(I did not simply read what the chart cited - I looked the information up in the actual cited Bible translations.)

Matthew 18:11 - KJV
For the son of man is come to save that which was lost.

Mathew 18:11 - NIV
That scripture is omitted entirely.  In my Comparative Study Bible, the NIV goes from verse 10 to verse 12.  Verse 11 is not there!  That bothers me.

Matthew 9:13 - KJV
...for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Matthew 9:13 - NIV
For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.  "to repentance" is omitted. 

Colossians 1:14 - KJV
In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.

Colossians 1:14 - NIV
In whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.  "through his blood" is omitted.  That really bothers me. 

The comparison charts that I cited have numerous such examples.

MY EXPERIENCES WITH THE ORIGINAL KING JAMES BIBLE

This a.m. the Lord led me to do some Bible translation/version research.  I found the following:

"Virginia Mullenkott served as a consultant on the NIV translating committee, together with the deceased Marten H. Woudstra (a homosexual), and therefore it is no wonder that the word "sodomite" is not found in the NIV." 

In research, I read that, according to Virginia Mullenkott, she was not an open lesbian when she worked with the NIV.  Currently, she is an open lesbian.

Chairman of the NIV Old Testament translation committee, Dr. Marten H. Woudstra (deceased), was a homosexual.

I am not a gullible person who believes all that I read or hear.  As our Lord's Spirit leads, it is wise to seek the Lord, pray, read, hear, and seek the Lord, and pray some more.  Only our Lord can lead us to the fullness of truth.

Before proceeding here, I need to clarify that I am not urging anyone to change the version of the Bible that you read unless, of course, you seek the Lord, and He instructs you to do so.  These are my experiences which I felt led of the Lord to share.

As were many other Christians, I was raised with the original King James Bible.  Also later, as did other Christians, I began to read other Bible versions.  A few years ago, The Amplified Bible is the one that I mostly used until one day the Lord spoke to me and told me to mostly use the original King James Bible.  I began to do so.

After some weeks, I noticed that I had become more potent and powerful in the Lord.  I did not attribute that to the change in Bible versions until I moved to Florida and met a pastor who uses an original King James Bible.  I asked him why he read that version.  He responded that it was the most potent and powerful version.  That is when I knew that that was why I had become more potent and powerful in the Lord.  Of course, I know that obedience to the content is vital.   

Also, the original King James Bible is easier to memorize and it has more rhythm.  I have a relative who mostly uses the New King James Bible but when she reads the Psalms, for rhythmic reasons, she reads them in the original King James Bible. 

Some people express that they cannot understand/follow the archaic language in the original King James Bible.  A few years ago I read where a five year old child testified of her preference for the original King James Bible.  Whatever I do not understand in the original King James Bible, I pray for the Lord to help me to know.  In fact, daily before I open my Bible I pray for understanding - trusting that the Lord will illuminate what He needs to when and how He desires.

One Christian friend of mine (I'll call her Debbie) was advised by another Christian to stop reading the NIV version.  I did not know that when I shared with Debbie how the Lord had led me away from the NIV and the Amplified versions.  She mentioned to me that I was the second Christian who had mentioned to her doubts about the NIV.  Another Christian friend of mine (I'll call her Kate) stated that her pastor uses the New King James Version and that she used that version to follow him.  I shared with Kate what the Lord informed me, and asked her if she was more concerned about following what her pastor used or what our Lord instructed.  I did not advise Debbie or Kate to forsake their versions.  I asked them to seek the Lord about it. 

Well, weeks later Debbie stated that she had started solely reading the original King James Bible.  She mentioned that one day a non-Christian client asked her what had happened to her because she sounded more confident in tone.  The only thing that Debbie could attribute her change to was that she now solely read the original King James Bible.  A non-Christian noticed that Debbie had become more potent in tone. 

As for Kate - first I must state that Kate is very firm about seeking the Lord.  When we advise and inform one another, we both crave "Where is that in the Bible" and while we listen to one another, we firmly adhere to seeking the Lord in prayer for final words.  Weeks after we had the Bible version conversation, Kate informed me that one day she was in a Christian bookstore and her hand was "drawn" to select from the shelf an original King James Bible.  She knew that it was the Lord who led her to purchase it.  Later, she too expressed to me the potency of it versus the New King James Bible.  She further stated that though her pastor uses the New King James she has no problems following him using the original King James Bible. 

I read where other Christians stated that the development of all of these Bible versions is profit driven.  Also, that Satan waters down content in some of the versions because he knows that to omit certain words and scriptures means less potency and power for those who read the diluted versions.  Another pastor mentioned how people have all of these Bible versions and don't read and obey any of them.  Some of this information caused me to think.  Years ago, most Christians used the only Bible version that was primarily available - the original King James Bible.  My take is that biblically they had less to choose from but in many cases, they were/are stronger Christians than some are today.   

I was led to do some research relative to some of the different versions available.  What I discovered was that it is true that some other versions omit entire scriptures, and also they omit and/or change wording that is in the original King James.  Some have argued that even the original King James Version is not original Bible text.  That is likely true but of the other versions that I have read, the original King James is the best of the English versions that are available.    

There is a very convincing comparison chart on the Internet that shows some glaring differences in various version content.  After reading that chart, I am more convinced about how the Lord led me relative to primary usage of the original King James.  I must add that, on rare occasions, as led by the Lord, I do refer to the Amplified, and my study Bible for commentary purposes.

Ref - The commentary in Bibles:

I was heavily into reading commentaries until - again -
when I moved to Florida, a pastor stated to be mindful about accepting commentaries as gospel truth.  And when I moved back to D.C. and took a Bible course, the teachers stressed to receive from the Holy Spirit before reading commentaries.  And lastly, a fellow blogger, who was once an atheist expressed that commentaries are not necessarily gospel truth.  Now I refer to Bible commentaries only as led by the Lord, which is rarely.    

Notes:

• Am I saying that to be a potent Christian, you must read the original King James Bible?  No, these are my experiences and the experiences of people that I know.  Full obedience to GOD to the best of our knowledge is the answer for spiritual fulfillment.  
• When I watch Christian programming, I do have a preference for the bishops and pastors who use the original King James Bible.  One pastor, reads first from the original King James Bible and then he reads the same passage(s) from the Amplified Bible.  Of course, my spirit needs to bear witness that they are true people of GOD.  We know that Satan knows the Bible but does not obey it therefore our spirits do not bear witness to any holy anointed power from him for he does not possess any form of holy power.      
• At church, I read from the original King James Bible no matter what version is used by the pastor(s) or guest speaker(s).  
• I am an editor and recently edited a book by a Christian who uses the NIV.  I did not urge her to use the original King James Bible because that is not my role as an editor.  
• Without love, we are nothing - regardless of our Bible usage - whatever the version(s).

In sum, I strongly urge that you seek the Lord as to whether to change the usage of your Bible version(s).

POOL LESSONS

Greetings -

This is fiction with truth.

Three men are at the pool.

One of them is afraid to go in so he wades in the water with his feet.

One of them heads to the kiddie pool and goes in.  He's waist deep in the water.  He splashes around there. 

Kids look at him as the intruder that he is. 

One of them asks, "Hey mister, why are you in the kiddie pool?!"

Sheepishly, the man responds, "I like it here."

The kid says to him, "But you don't belong in the kiddie pool." 

The other kids chime in with agreement.

The man is ashamed.  He leaves the kiddie pool and joins the man who is wading with his feet in the water. 

The kids look on and shake their heads.  They go on about having their pool fun.

Meanwhile the third man is in the deep part of the pool.  He has dived off the diving board with daring moves and exercises.  He's swimming with strong strokes.  It's obvious that he's in a place of immense enjoyment.  He's having a ball with the other deep swimmers.  It's a splash blast!

The two water waders look over at the deep activities.  The waders look at one another - "Naw" - they agree.  They stay ankle deep.

That scenario is like some of what goes on in Christian communities. 

There are those who desire to be ankle deep in GOD - a little something something with GOD.

Then there are those who desire to be in the kiddie pool - about waist deep - - some more of GOD but not all of GOD.

Then there are those who desire deep water experiences with GOD - all the way in - fully covered.

Are we wading, kidding, or swimming in the high tides?

P.S. I recently heard Bishop T.D. Jakes say, "GOD can't drown!"

WHAT DID WE GET JESUS FOR CHRISTmas?

Greetings -

This is a blast from the past piece.  

The first syllable in CHRISTmas is CHRIST.  Indeed, it is clear to the knowers that CHRISTmas derives from the name CHRIST – Jesus, the Lord.  From my place of knowledge, it is not proven that December 25th is the actual birthday of our Lord.  But for the interest of this piece, I will not major on the minor of the precise date.  What has been proven is that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the only true and living God.

Every CHRISTmas season, we witness the perennial hustle and bustle.  People do wish lists, and ponder what gifts to purchase and for whom.  Budgets are stretched, plans are made, trips are taken, people shop ‘til they drop, and bemoan the expense of it all. Anticipation is high.  Expectation is plentiful as people eagerly engage in the excitement of CHRISTmas cheer.  We hear, “What do I get them?  Will they be pleased?  How much do I spend for each on my list?  Decisions, decisions - this is so much.  My budget is busted.  When is too much?”

For hordes, the commercial aspects of CHRISTmas have surpassed what it truly represents – the celebration of Christ, the Lord.  What did we get Jesus for CHRISTmas?  We owe Him our lives.  He is Lord of lords, and King of kings.

Did we give Him thanks?

What about total surrender to His righteous agenda?

And don’t forget faithfulness to His holy Word. You know…being doers of the full gospel of His kingdom.

How about love for Him, and our blessed Father God above all else?  Because it is in Him that we live, and move, and have our being.  You know…the air we breathe that belongs to God.

Oh yeah, and did we daily give Him obedience, praise, honor, and glory as He so rightly deserves?

What did we get Jesus for CHRISTmas?  Does He respect what we gave?

Can CHRISTmas be Merry without Christ?

Some do – do it righteous!  And for those who don’t – you can.  The Bible says, "Whosoever will…."

MERRY CHRISTmas, JESUS!

THIS CHRISTmas, who is on the Lord’s side?  Can I get a “Hark, the Herald Angels Sing?”

WHERE IS THAT IN THE BIBLE?

Today LIONS SHARE MAJESTY is serving a double entree.  Immediately below is a fiction piece, and the post below this one is a tag on from yesterday's post, "COURTESY SCALE."

WHERE IS THAT IN THE BIBLE:

Disciple Ark Sanctuary is on the south side of Chicago.  The Sunday school teacher for Room 377, Brother Archer, recently passed away.

Brother Archer taught Sister Clara for 17 years.  She is a 65 year old white haired widow who is known for her spiritual spunk.

Sister Clara and much of the class enjoyed Brother Archer's teaching.  He was a by-the-Holy-Bible saint.  He trained his students to always use the Bible as the most authoritative reference for every affair in their lives.  Brother Archer was an excellent teacher who made sure to engage his students, and he very much encouraged class participation.   

The Sunday school students loved Brother Archer's loving spirit and his superb skills with the usage of GOD'S Word.  He often stressed to them the importance of daily Bible reading at home.  They particularly loved that Brother Archer taught them to ask, "Where is that in the Bible?"  He frequently made mention of that to reinforce that they needed to have Bible evidence.

Brother Lawson is the new Sunday school teacher for Room 377.  He is a nice Christian man but doesn't have strong Bible knowledge.

The class takes immediate notice that Brother Lawson is not biblically strong.

The first lesson Brother Lawson teaches doesn't include any Bible references.

Sister "spunk" Clara asks, "Where is that in the Bible?"

Brother Lawson is unable to readily tell the class.

The class is uncomfortable.  They need to know "Where is that in the Bible?"

The following Sunday a similar occurrence takes place.  

Brother Lawson teaches another lesson with no mention of Bible references. 

Again, he is asked, "Where is that in the Bible?"

Brother Lawson is not prepared.

This time, after class, Sister Clara asks Brother Lawson if she can please speak with him.

He agrees.

Sister Clara lovingly informs Brother Lawson that he needs to study to show himself approved unto GOD.  She further expresses to him that it is vital to share with the class where his lessons are found in the Bible.  

Brother Lawson is a good sport, and is receptive to Sister Clara's advice.  He smiles at her, nods his head, and thanks her.  He gives her assurances that he will study to show himself approved unto GOD, and amend his lesson habits, as per her advice.  He teasingly asks Sister Clara, "Where is that in the Bible?"

She laughs and provides him the relevant scripture references.  The main one that she provides is 2 Timothy 2:15, "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."  

They chat a bit more and then go their separate ways.

The next Sunday, Brother Lawson teaches his lesson and instructs the class where to read in the Bible.

His students smile and thank him.

Sister Clara and most of the students believe that Brother Lawson will do quite well.  They are pleased to work with him, and to wait - as they believe that he will come to flourish.

TAG ON TO YESTERDAYS POST ABOUT COURTESY

This is a tag on to yesterday's post, "COURTESY SCALE."

After I did the courtesy post yesterday I read an article about how some people on jury duty are now using online methods to discuss cases, in violation of court instructions.  The article also discussed how there is a generational gap in how young people versus older people view respect.  One example given was when a judge gave the jury members instructions not to discuss the case via ANY means.   Well, one young man went on Facebook and wrote, "F--- the judge." When the judge became aware of the young man's post, and spoke to him about it, the young man responded to the judge, "That's just Facebook stuff..."  My sense was that the young man had no clue as to how disrespectful that was - even more so because he was addressing a judge, and had the nerve to put what he put on Facebook relative to the judge.  Of course, we Christians find that awful conduct but even when I was a non-Christian, I would NOT have dared done such a thing.

Another account:

A few months ago I saw a report of a young woman who showed up for jury duty with a tee shirt on that had stenciled on it in large letters, "F--- Y--."  The judge rebuked the young woman for wearing the said tee shirt to court.  She dismissed the young woman  from the process.  The young woman responded, "Haven't you heard of free speech?"

Does anyone agree that back in the day even non-Christians had more boundaries relative to behavior?  I mean didn't they then have more scruples and more lines that they would not cross behavior-wise?  Of course, there are exceptions, but I mean overall?

There is a scripture that comes to mind.  It is 2 Timothy 3:13, "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse,..."   

Prayer:
Father, in the name of JESUS, please help those who are perverse to accept You and the fulness of Your truth.  Draw them into Your glorious kingdom and pull them out of the fire to love, trust, and serve You.

COURTESY SCALE

CAPSULE

• What do we weigh on the courtesy scale? 
• Do we say "please," "thank you," and "excuse me?" 
• Do we greet before we engage people?  Example: We are at work and in our initial contacts for the day(s), we approach colleagues about matters - do we greet them first with "Good morning," "hi," "hello" etc?  Or do we just forego greetings and start in with our communication? 

The first "good morning" I speak is to the Lord - whose air we breathe.

• What about sharing?  Are we gung-ho for receiving but selfish about giving - not just things - but our time and energy to the interests of others?

The other night someone told me that a certain hotel was not inclined to host anymore Christians because of how discourteously they behaved when they stayed there.  That was about the second person who told me about that account. 

Another account that I heard was about Christians who lack courteous demeanors and who fail to show love.

What about this?  Do we keep our words?  Of course, extenuating circumstances can necessitate changes/postponements/cancellations becoming necessary but when those are the cases, do we make contacts to inform of changes?  Or do we just discourteously leave people hanging?

Today in the December 2010 issue of GQ magazine I read an interview of Vice President Biden.  This is what he said that his father told him, "You're a man of your word.  Without your word, you're not a man."

May GOD help us all to habitually practice courtesy and to be people of excellence in the areas of love, integrity, credibility, and responsiveness - among other godly pursuits. 

Let us be Spiritually fruity Christians in all affairs of life - for that is the Word of GOD - in practice.

Note: Even when we must be stern and firm - love should be a habitual focus.

TODAY RAIN CRASHED MY PARTY

Thunder claps rage in my soul,
Today Rain came as a rude party crasher

“Who invited you, Rain,” I angrily ask.

"Stormy weather,” Rain boastfully proclaims.

“I do not want you at my party –
Rain, Rain, go away”

Smugly, Rain informs,
"I am here to toast
the dismal atmosphere
that arrived with me.”

I stomp furiously –
“My heart aches
from the rainy tempest
Will you not leave me be?”

Rain roars with wicked “satisfied” laughter.

We argue on
while all around us
my party guests revel in fun –
because it is not raining on them

Why is it that sometimes when it rains,
people don’t share their umbrellas?
Who cares that it is raining on me?

While I pondered my Rain misfortune,
a strong knock came at the door –

I left Rain standing in a puddle
and went to answer the knock.

It is Storm Chaser – we call him Chase.
I am beyond glad to see him

Chase confidently strides in,
surveys the party scene,
glances dismissively at Rain,
smiles at me and asks, “May I have this dance?”

I happily nod
and off we go
to dance to the song,
“Rain Can’t Stay.”

Chased away in defeat
Rain makes a hasty exit.

We did not stand Rain
to remain any longer than necessary

There are "seasons" when we need the Rain,
but with its presence the party can continue -

Brief interludes of rain can bring
renewed appreciation for the SON shine
that is inevitable.

COUNT IT ALL JOY

Greetings -

Do you ever wonder why our Lord allows certain things to happen in our lives instead of showing us how to avoid certain instances of opposition? I have asked Him something like, “Why didn’t You have me to avoid this or that?” The Lord answered me with His Word.

Our Lord gave me Isaiah 45:7, “…I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.” And He referred me to Matthew 4 when the Spirit led JESUS into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. GOD could have allowed an “avoid” in that but it was His design to have JESUS to be tempted of the devil. The devil opposed JESUS and JESUS won the battle! Satan quoted scripture, and JESUS quoted scripture in response. The difference is that when JESUS quoted scripture, He possessed the MOST POWER because the power of Christ always trumps the power of Satan. The devil knows the Bible but he does NOT obey it - which means that the devil has no holy power/anointing that accompanies him when he cites scriptures from GOD’s Holy Bible.

One wilderness benefit that our Precious Lord also revealed is that if He did not lead us into the wilderness, we would not know what He has made of us. Issues that, in the past, would disturb or anger us, no longer have that power to do so. Yes, we will still have our “moments” when we will be sorrowful, and when we do wrong and need to repent, but those “moments” occur less and less as we yield to the commands of our Father. It is such a joy to me to know that because of what the Lord has worked in me, I now sometimes laugh at opposition when previously I would react with ungodly anger. Increasingly, my responses to opposition have changed to Word conduct – count it all joy. The Lord reminded me that through the wilderness opportunities, we learn how we have changed, and matured to levels where the effects from opposition are greatly lessened. Also, the Lord moves us to spiritual places where none of these things move us – The Acts 20:24.

Our wilderness experiences can be occurrences to get us more in tune with GOD and His awesome purposes! Our count it all joy attitudes are rewards that prove that the Lord’s investment in us is bearing fruit to evidence that our labor is not in vain in the Lord. His investments provide vital dividends and benefits that we need in this life to be meet for our Master’s use. Glory to our Lord. Joy! Joy! The joy of the Lord is indeed our strength.

For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

Prayer:

Father, in the holy and powerful name of JESUS, Your beloved Son, I pray that more and more, we Your people, and the sheep of Your pasture will respond with love, control, laughter, confidence and the fruits of Your blessed Spirit. Let it be our continual reality that we, for real, count persecution all joy because we know that all things work together for good to those who love You. You can certainly turn curses into blessings and what the enemies mean for evil - You shall turn for Your good. It is truly all about You, Lord, and what You elect to manifest.

GOD SPEAKS TO SPIRITUALLY WOUNDED SOLDIERS IN HIS ARMY

CAPSULE:

Greetings -

This morning, I had no plans to post - this afternoon for another post topic was on my "agenda."  I will still post that topic this afternoon, but the Lord revealed to me that there are some spiritually wounded soldiers that need to read this CAPSULE this a.m.  Here is what He says to you:

"Lo, I AM with you always.  You need not be afraid.  I love you bountifully.  I AM your Father, your certainty, your security, your provider and your SOURCE.  Let not your heart be troubled.  Cleave to Me and know that My righteous right hand and My holy arm are in motion on behalf of My precious children - surely, you are in that number.

Reinforcements for you are on the way.  Trust My timing.  Nothing happens that is not on My radar.  

There is a military term QRF which stands for Quick Reaction Force.  QRF is any force that is poised to respond on very short notice.  The QRF is trained for "what if" scenarios such as situations that require extra perimeter security, bomb threat response and establishing checkpoints and roadblocks as necessary.  They are trained for high threat missions.  They respond effectively and are successful.  They perform under the added stress. 

Be at ease soldier.  I do ALL of the above, and MORE!!!"

FIRE POWER:

"911, what's your emergency?"

"The people in the house across the street are all on fire!"  

"Excuse me, please repeat that."

"The people in the house across the street are on fire.  I can see them in the front room jumping and they are on fire!  Please send help now to 7733 Edmond Drive!"

"Fire rescue is on the way."

"Thank you."

Fire and rescue arrive to a house full of individual people on fire.

The fire crew cannot put the fire out. 

The on fire people are shouting, crying, and rejoicing. 

One of them shouts lovingly to the firemen, "You can't put this fire out, it cannot be quenched!"   

One of the fired up people touches a fireman who immediately falls to the floor under the fire of the Holy Ghost.

His colleagues exchange looks like - this is crazy spooky.  

Another fireman falls under the fire.  No one touched him.  He just went down under the fire power of GOD.

Bewildered, the rest of the fire crew flees the house...  

Some of the fiery saints run out to witness to them but the firemen jump in the vehicles and speed off.  Tire skid marks are left on the road...

LIGHT INTERRUPTIONS

Greetings -

This is fiction but it could be true.

LIGHT INTERRUPTIONS:

Mary awoke and readied herself to go to purchase CHRISTmas lights for the large tree that sat in the living room of her home on Chief Street.  The tree had been decorated except for the lights.

This year, Mary desires new CHRISTmas lights to represent some newness in her life.  The Lord delivered her from apprehension of speaking boldly about His gospel, and His saving grace.  She is elated that now, without hesitation or fears, she freely goes out and about to share GOD’S holy Word.

She exclaims, “Lord, I want new CHRISTmas lights to symbolize what has been birthed in my soul.  You illuminated, and delivered me, and I am so aglow!”

The Lord said, “Mary, my child, it is my pleasure to give you such joy.  Spread your Sonshine, My precious one.”

Mary goes off to get her new CHRISTmas lights.  In route, while stopped at the traffic signal, she looks over and sees a woman with an expression of concern.

Mary shouts over to her, “Are you ok?”

The woman, Jessica, responds, “No, I am lost and near late for the wedding of a very dear friend.”

Mary motions, and tells her to please pull over at the next safe area just up ahead.

Jessica does as Mary requests. 

The two greet one another, and Mary shares with Jessica that she is a Christian.

Jessica responds that she is backslidden.

Mary reminds Jessica that JESUS is a Friend who is closer than any other.  Mary glimpes a longing response in the eyes of Jessica.  She knows that she is remembering JESUS as her Savior.

Mary cheerfully tells Jessica to follow her and she will drive to the church where the wedding is being held.  

Thanks to Mary, Jessica arrives at the church with just minutes to spare.

Mary hurriedly gives Jessica her number and says, “I believe you will call because you will come back to JESUS.”

Jessica smiles and hurries inside to the wedding.

A light interruption

Mary arrives at the parking lot of the Wholesome Host store where she will select her new CHRISTmas lights. She notices a small crowd gathered.  She curiously approaches, and discovers a woman, Anna, in labor with her male companion, Fredo, in a fretful state.

Mary inquires, and finds that Fredo is the father of the soon to arrive little one.  An ambulance has been summoned but it is obvious that the baby will not wait.  Mary comforts Anna and Fredo  and speaks to them of GOD’S love.  She assures that all will be well.

Mary prays, “Lord, help us, please!”

Moments later, a woman, Stacy, steps through the crowd.  Stacy is a Doctor’s Assistant and knows exactly what to do. Whew!  She handles the blessed arrival of the newborn, and places the infant in his mother’s arms.  A boy is their new gift from GOD.   

The couple “melts” at the sight of their precious son.

Mary asks, “Do you have a name yet?”

Fredo answers, “Yes, his name is Aaron.”

Mary’s eyes well with tears.  She gives him a Christian tract, and wishes them all well.

A light interruption

Mary is happily exhausted from all that has happened.  She decides to come back for the lights on another day.

The next week, Mary once again sets out to get her CHRISTmas lights.  In route, she comes upon a horrific single vehicle car accident.  She and two others are first at the scene.

The sole occupant of the car is a man, Isaac.  While they wait for the ambulance, Mary asks the others to join with her in prayer.

Isaac is conscience but barely holding on.

The Lord reveals to Mary that Isaac will not recover.

Mary whispers to Isaac, "What is your name?"

In a faint whisper, he responds, "Isaac."

"Isaac,"' Mary stresses, "JESUS loves you, and expects you with Him soon.  Do the best you can to pray for JESUS to save you, forgive you, and to bring you to Him.”

Isaac understands, and shuts his eyes.

Mary knows that he is praying to JESUS. 

When Isaac opens his eyes, Mary recognizes the presence of GOD’S peace.

Isaac breathes a few short breaths, and expires.

A light interruption

Mary is so grateful to have led someone to Christ before "death."  She keeps praising GOD for His profound love, and goodness.

In just days, the Lord led Mary to witness to various precious souls.  She is thrilled that she was involved for a wedding, the birth of Aaron, and the salvation of Isaac before he passed on.  

Mary arrives and walks into Wholesome Host and selects three colors for her new CHRISTmas lights - red for the blood of JESUS, white for the purity of Christ, and yellow for the SONSHINE WHO IS THE RESURRECTION!!!  She joyfully thanks GOD for all of those –

LIGHT interruptions.

GOD'S "RAMBO" SQUAD, AND WARFARE COUNSEL - PLUS...

Greetings -

The Lord God Almighty is forming a new “Warfare Counsel.” The said counsel will consist of hearty, valiant, military-minded soldiers of the Most High. The mission, should you decide to accept it, is to dismantle evil that has taken up residence in wicked people, to pull down the strongholds of the Devil, to render him furious, envious, confused, baffled, and unprepared for the force of this new wave of holy warriors who are marching with holy orders to destroy the works of the Devil in ways that have never been accomplished before. We shall, in the awareness from God, be mindful that all unbelievers will NOT take heed to the gospel truth but we SHALL gain those who are destined by Almighty God to reap of His liberties. God is sounding a clarion call for the best of His faithful servants to claim the ground on which we walk for God has given it to us.

Remember that all of the children of Israel left Egypt with Moses but all did NOT enter the Promised Land. We are children of promise, and more than conquerors if we fear God, and keep His commandments. Let us allow our Father God to purge us so that we can be fit for our Master’s use. People are dying, and are dead in the spirit realm. Their allegiance is to Satan. Many are crying out to be rescued but they find it challenging to trust because they have been so often disappointed by ungodly people. And many of those ungodly people were, and are “Christians.”

We, of the “Warfare Counsel,” are appointed to prove to the unbelievers that our Almighty Father God can indeed be trusted. It is His power through us that will shake the foundations of the kingdom of Satan. We shall, through the power of God, pull people from the gates of hell because we know that the gates of hell cannot prevail against our ROCK, Christ Jesus!!! Father God, please endow us, equip us, certify us, justify us, defend us, and channel through us so that we can fearlessly battle the forces of evil as the valiant conquerors that You have anointed us to be!

God will use us to expose the false people who spread the doctrines of devils. We will call them out for who they are, and urge them to forsake sinful practices or receive the wrath of God in doses that will bring them to their knees or turn them further from Almighty God. They will either agree or flee. God will deal with the double-minded – choose life or death will be the command in clear undeniable ways. The Word of God says in 1 Kings 18:21, “And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him…” We know what happened to the prophets of Baal!

We will minister to Ku Klux Klan members, Mafia participants, Muslims, those consumed by hatred of God, pimps, prostitutes, drug dealers, and witchcraft participants. And yes, we will minister to those who are “religious,” who falsely believe that they are saved! We will minister to generals, captains, sergeants, and privates in Satan’s army. The love, and power of God in us will love the hell out of some of them! The Lord will dispatch His best military leaders, and servants of every rank, and class to wreak havoc in the kingdom of Satan. The Lord will topple his empires, shame his minions, tame his aggression, subdue mightily throughout his ranks, and deliver crushing blows of defeat to Satan’s wicked strongholds.

God is our fortress, our bulwark, a man of war (Exodus 15:3), and a consuming fire. He has been mocked, ridiculed, ignored and disrespected. Woe unto all who choose to remain His enemies.

A new day is dawning in the spirit realm - a day of vindication. IT IS HARVEST TIME FOR THE MOST FAITHFUL! God has destined this “hour” where more manifestations will appear to prove that there is a distinction between us, and those who follow the Devil. Remember in the book of Exodus it says, “And I will put a division between my people and thy people: to morrow shall this sign be.” (Exodus 8:23) and the Word says, “…and when I see the blood, I will pass over you,…” (Exodus 12:13).

The days of business as usual have come to a halt. THE WORD: “Then Moses stood in the gate of the camps, and said, Who is on the Lord’s side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him.” (Exodus 32:26).

The status quo journey is over. There is too much at stake. Souls are increasingly in danger of the lake of fire. Such souls dwell in misery, in distress, in sorrow, in pain, in fear, and in hopelessness. I call out for God’s “Rambo Squad.” The Spirit of the Living God lives inside of us. Due time has come to pour it out like rivers of living water to quench the thirst of the desperate, forlorn, and dejected. They hunger for the richness of Almighty God. We must, through Christ, deliver holiness to run through their veins as it does ours. We must march to the heartbeat of our DRUMMER, GOD!

We must abundantly share the Lamb of God by our allegiance to THE WORD. We are in God’s army. We cannot faint. We must lay aside every weight and remain close to the STOREHOUSE to obtain orders, and to reload our spiritual weapons. We must forge ahead and press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. We must zero in on our targets with precision, and we must fight against the ”demons of religion.” Jesus was crucified by the chief priests,…(Luke 24:20). That “spirit of religion” is, in large part, responsible for the many spiritual casualties of war.

The “religious prudes” bring shame to God’s name and the mission of the pure full gospel. They position themselves proudly on their “thrones” of self-righteousness. They go to churches with ungodly hearts, and transmit their ungodly contagious “spiritual diseases.” Persecution is administered to the saints who righteously resist those who are “spiritually diseased.” Heavy doses of such persecution are given out regularly in countless houses of worship! And some of those “Christian” Pharisees dare partake of holy communion – the nerve! Religion is vain, and worthless if it does not glorify our Father God, and get His holy work done!

I have signed up with the “Warfare Counsel.” My
blood-bought name is on that dotted line. I’m with the “sons of Levi.” (Exodus 32:26). We must stay mindful that, yes we are on a love mission, but love ain’t no wimp! That is why included in God’s Word we find stories about war, and the use of the rod such as when Jesus told Peter, “Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.” (Matthew 16:23), and righteous indignation as when Jesus turned over tables and seats in the temple (Mark 11:15-17), and mention of the whole armour (Ephesians 6). We would not need all of that if we were not at war! And the Word of God is “quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12). One great example of that is when Paul said to an unbeliever, “…O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? (The Acts 13:10).

Yet with all that occurred in the war realm, there is balance contained in the ways of God. Jesus sharply rebuked people - still the Bible says that he is “meek and lowly in heart” (Matthew 11:29). And with all that Moses did to oppose the evil Pharaoh, the Word states about him, “Now the man Moses was very meek, above all men which were upon the face of the earth. (Numbers 12:3). Pride is prevalent throughout our universe, and it dominates in the spirits of many “Christians.” It is a destructive force, as is all sin.

The anointing flows smoothly in pure vessels who are blameless, and above reproach. Yes, we all sin, and come short of God’s glory. But many sin, and come short on the regular as a habitual practice with deliberation in frequency. And far too many in that posture carry the name of “Christian.”

True warriors of God steadfastly submit to God to keep the power to resist the Devil - and having done all – to stand!
